This worked for my Kodak C913...from Kodak Support.

To switch between the Microsoft WIA drivers and the Kodak camera driver:
1. Connect your camera to your computer.

2. Turn on your camera.

NOTE: If the WIA drivers automatically detect your camera and display a window for transferring images. Click Cancel to close this window.

3. Open the Device Manager.

a. Right-click My Computer and select Properties.
b. In the System Properties window, select the Hardware tab.
c. Click Device Manager.

4. Click the plus (+) sign to the left of Imaging Devices or Universal Serial Bus Controller, depending on the version of Kodak software installed on the computer. Your Kodak camera should be listed.

5. Double-click on your camera model name.

6. Select the Driver tab.

7. Click Update Driver.

8. If you have installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 or above, your system displays the Hardware Update Wizard. Select No, not this time and click Next.

9. Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and click Next.

10. Click Don't search. I will choose the driver to install and click Next.

11. Select the Digital Still Camera for WIA drivers if you having trouble using the Kodak drivers, or select the Kodak camera if switching from WIA to Kodak and click Next.

12. Click Finish to complete the driver update.

13. If the program selection window appears, select Windows scanner and camera wizard
14. Select Always use this program for this action and click OK to transfer your pictures.

Had a similar problem...missing some pictures and hanging up during transfer. Check under Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs to make sure Microsoft .Net Framework is at version 2.0, Service Pack 1. If not, you can go to this web page to find a url to download the proper .net upgrade. Worked for me.

Consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

If your previous download is still on the computer, then it is correct when it tells you there are no new pics to download. If that's the case, why would you want to download them again?

Could those 2 pics be in the internal memory and not on the SD or the other way around.

Are the 2 pics taken in a dif. fileformat or faulty?

Note if there is a pattern or if this is occuring w. more pics than just those 2 before you call KODAK

Skip using the software and drivers. Simply buy and use a card reader. No software is necessary with all operating systems made in the last few years. Another advantage is that you can have your own choice on editors, and other software for viewing the files.

Once you plug in your SD card Via SD card reader go to my computer and open the drive with the SD card on it... Shouldn't be difficult to figure out. Cut or Copy all your pics and paste them into your My Pics folder or any other folder of your choosing. Enjoy your pics...

Camera won't permit review of pictures

Hello Charlie, Hook your camera directly to your PC with the USB cable, The computer should see Kodak Easyshare, Double click on it to open and check in the folder shown for your photos and down load or delete them as you wish. As far as the SD card error it sounds like possible camera firmware problem,go to Kodak website under support for Dx7590 for the firmware and instructions.
Best Regards, Russell

Try resetting your camera in the setup menu and see if that helps. Usually that will do the trick.

Digital camera won't download all pics to pc

I dont have a permanent fix for this but you can recover those precious pics.. When you can open it in photoshop just use file save as option to save them onto the computer.. Also when you are done with transferring all these pics then format the memory card(normal format not quick) then take some sample pcis and see if it skips again.. Postback so that we can followup on this..

Can't load photos to computer

Try using Windows Explorer or a similar folder and file locating program to find the camera. In Explorer, choose My Computer and look down the list that opens. If your camera is "seen" by the computer, it will appear in the list and you should be able to retrieve the pictures from there, just like finding and opening other folders and files. If not, the problem is most likely on the camera or cable, not the software or computer.
