Go to profiles and make sure it's not in "quiet" or "vibrate" mode. If it is, choose either normal or loud.

If normal or loud are already selected you may need to go to advanced settings (at the bottom of the profile list).

In the advanced menu, click on the active profile, then choose phone. Make sure it is set for "tone" or "vibrate + tone" in both the out of holster and in holster sections.

Blackberry pearl 8100 mute button broken

I would call your provider get it put on protection plan "Dont tell them you are having issues" wait a month then call in saying you are having issues. It will cost you about 50- 85.00 for a repalcemnt but better than buying a new phone.

Otherwsie get your keypad replaced. it sounds like a mic issue on why they cant hear you.

more than likely the connection inside the phone for the speaker has broken or become loose. I would recommend taking to your cell phone provider and seeing if they have any means of fixing or replacing the phone.

I solved it!! All I did was take the battery out for about an hour, put it back in and charged it for an hour, then turned the phone on and it has worked ever since.

I just got a new pearl, and I can't figure out why all my calls go straight to vml. Also, it's like I don't have any sound at all??? I haven't even heard this thing make a sound when I turn it on??

Are your calls diverted to voicemail as a setting default? Check your voice mail settings. If this is set up correctly. Check Network settings are set to automatic. And check the general settings in advanced options the phone is turned on.

Are you able to hear any music clips?

Blackberry Pearl keeps turning mobile connection off.

There might be some issue with the BlackBerry Device Software associated with the BlackBerry smartphone so Upgrade the BlackBerry smartphone with a newer version of BlackBerry Device Software and make sure that you have taken a backup before upgrading.

Pearl 8100 cannot hear voice.

I think the internal speaker is damaged. You can use speaker and turn the volume down but if the phone isn't under warranty I don't think you can easily fix it.

if this issue persists on speakerphone or not, it depends on if this is a software problem. if they still cant hear you when you put them on speaker then they still wont be able to hear you. if that is the case, contact your provider for a link to dowload the most up to date software.....

if it only works when you put them on speaker phone, contact your wireless provider or RIM (1-877-255-2377) to replace or repair the phone
