Hi, not sure if its relevent but we have a hotpoint aquarius DWF50 machine, light flashed same at times, sometimes push the switches would not operate properly to select a program. Lately the pump for emptying water at the end of a cycle would continue to run even when it was empty for hours until you turned it off. Before doing anything else, disconnect the mains lead..... I checked the float sensor for water etc as advised ...nothing dry..then decided to take off the controller board as previously we had a problem with the relay being dry soldered to the circuit board...on the left hand side of the board I found two thin wires, black and black with grey stripe, one was not soldered correctly to the board..dry joint and pulled away as i tugged at it. Resoldered the joint properly, reassembled board and connectors to the door. Fitted screws back etc. That was a week ago...its been fine since. No idea what the wires were attached to at the other end but they look like low ampage signal type wires perhaps from some sort of sensor...anyway they should have been soldered properly during manufacture...years ago. Hope that helps ofr gives you something more to go on. Rob
I have a Hotpoint Aquarius SDW 60 The delay 3hr &12hr lights are flashing at the same time. Machine won't start. If the door is slamed shut. It get stuck on the Fast & Prewash 40 degree cycle. and stays there.
i had the same problem and like an idiot paid for hotpoint to come out and all the guy done was tip the dishwasher backwards to empty the water(which he didn't clean) and tell me that im using to much rinse aid and salt coz we use 4 in1 tabs hope this helps smiley
I'm assuming the programs are all selected electronically...then your pc board is on its way out. In this case you would have to replace the board...most electronic boards have "service programs" which you can check functions, but I'm not familiar with Hotpoint....
I too had this problen today. Printed off a manual from the Hotpoint website. Very helpful troubleshoot section. Anyway, flashing eco and fast lights and beeping sound indicates 'water feed pipe blocked' You need to check the water inlet connections on your tap. However, when we pulled it out we noticed the blue water inlet pipe was slightly kinked. Straightened this out and hey presto! It works fine again. How this happens when its worked ok for 18 months will never know but still. Try it! hope this was helpful...shewoo
