Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV
I have a WD62525 thats about 3 years old. I have a yellow lamp lite thats been on for about 2 weeks but the TV was working. Turned the set off at night, the next morning the set would not come on. I replaced the lamp but the problem still exists. I've reset the set several times with no success. I've unplugged the set overnight and still the same problem when I plugged back it. I do hear the color wheel startup and stay spinning till I power off the unit. I'm suspecting the ballast my be my problem. Is there a way I can test this before ordering the unit?
Its more likely that the Capacitors on the power pwb have failed You can get the V26 Power board repair kit at the following link which has instructions. That is the most probable fault on your model DLP when the lamp wont light. Heres the link its listed under their repair kit category.
