Just changed my ink cart on my hp officejet g85xi. now get "press enter to alian cart" meg. have removewd cart, cleaned, returned to old cart. still get msg help

    yes, i let it print the alianment page,but it still says " press enter to alian cart.", have done this 4 or 5 times with new hp brand cart. and with the old one i origionally took out.

Try doing this steps

Press and hold the Setup button.
Press the Options button. The printer should be ready to print.

If you take the cartridge out the computer will ask you to do alignment again, did you go through the complete alignment procedure without removing the cartridge?

    You need to complete the alignment procedure using the scanner side of the printer.

    I report the answer from HP:

    "1.Turn off the printer and turn it on again
    2.Let the printer prints the allignment page
    3.After printing the allignment page ...Disconnect the USB cable which is connected behind the printer
    4.Place
    the allignment sheet inside the scanner glass and press the scan button
    on the printer,The ON light will begins to flash and take the
    allignment sheet when the ON light is steady
    Turn off the printer and turn it on again
    "

    If you still get the problem do the following:
    "Please follow the steps given below to reset the printer cycle (Hard reset):

    1. Turn the printer on.
    2. Raise the top cover of the printer.
    3. Remove ink cartridges from printer.
    4. Power off the printer by pressing the power button.
    5. Disconnect the power cord and the printer cable (USB or parallel)
    from the back of the printer.
    6. Let the printer remain disconnected for at least 60 seconds.
    7. Reconnect the power and printer cables.
    8. Turn on the printer.
    9. Reinstall the ink cartridges into printer and make sure they lock into position.
    10. Close the top cover.


    If the issue persist, follow the steps on the following webpage:

    there are no option and setup button on this printer, the answer was for the wrong model probably.

    Can you try doing what suggested below, it is the solution for your model from HP.

    Do not trust experts that do not reference their comments, some of them may be wrong.

    Do the following:

    If the above does not fix the problem, then the printer is faulty, it does not detect print head position, and keep asking alignment.

This is codes for the ink cartridge. The code means there is a problem with the cartridge. Change them both and restart the machine.

Why is print quality poor after inserting new ink. Copies are faint and have lines


the cartridge is clogged with ink that has dried and reduced the slit. you need to replace the cartridge with a new one. it happens usually if you recharge the cartridge 3 or 4 times with compatible ink.

We have forgotten the Administration password for our EStudio 350 & 450. Is there any way of resetting? Thanks Ben


The default password is either 12345 or 123456.
If neither of those work then, turn machine off then power on while pressing the 0 & 8 keys then enter 263, then press Start. It will then display the Admin Password.

Problem installing drivers for HP 4355 printer in vista 32bit OS


Vista OEM Cd usually doesnt come with drivers.

Printer should have come with its own cd which contains both the software & drivers.

If it didn't come with any
You can try using windows update
or
downloading drivers from hp site

HP printer psc 2210 all in one


Chances are that you didn't lock down the scanner when you moved the unit. You can attempt to open the unit and move the scanner bar manually to reset it. HPs are very difficult beasts when it comes to their power up check out. It must be fully functional...including all cartridges...to work in most cases. Good luck.
