OK I kow that discription is a little vague. Here is what I have my wife was trying to toggle the set from TV1 to Hdvi and could not figure it out. She pressed the power button on and off a few times and now there is no power to the units on or stand by lights and the set will not come on. I have tried unplugging for a few minutes and plugging back in. I even made sure there was power to the outlet. HELP and Thanks

Most times when a power outages occur, most everything that's plugged into an outlet receives a "Power Spike". Basically it's a shock wave traveling through the neighborhood power grid when the electricity turns OFF and ON.
Hopefully the TV didn't receive too much damage. Inside the TV, there is a fuse that may need to be replaced. Radio Shack or other electronic store will carry these fuses. If this doesn't solve the problem, the Power Supply Board maybe damaged.
Hello: 37 inchs have a television of the problem is that it works
like 10 minutes and turns off the image, has sound but no image, turn
off and on again returns to normal work and 5 minutes the picture goes
but still sound, can you help?
vague discription , but can help here, is the backlight lit?
shine flashlight on screen and see if any picture is actually there,m if there is a picture there with no backlight, could be a power issue or bad panel (screen).
if no picture but has backlight, may be Tcon board or signal board
Even if caps do not look blow, they still can be. Check diodes and resistors on power board. Easy fix if you have patience and time. make sure you replace with a higher voltage, but same cap, resistance values.
