Leveling Maytag Neptune

I heard there is a brick on the inside of the washer that also may come out of balance-is this true? And how do I fix it?

Leveling a washer can be a pain sometimes.

1. You must have a solid foundation. The floor where it sets must be good.

2. Use a level. When adjusting the legs keep the washer as close to the floor as possible.

3. Problem inside the washer. Look inside for anything obvious i.e. loose springs, loose counter weight.

MY WASHER MOVES VIOLENTLY AND THEN GIVES A LR CODE

I would check the balance of machine by using a leveler and checking the bottom leg adjustment on all 4 legs then check the
suspension springs, counter weights, dampning straps etc.

How to fix a errow ob on maytag washing machine

OB is an out of balance load error, try re-distributing the clothing and see if it helps, also make sure the machine is level, if this doesn't help there may be a fault with the out of balance switch or lever.

Hi I have a Maytag Neptune model MAH5500BWW Serial B4585662GA. When I turn the drum, I can still hear water inside/behind the drum. Thank you

This is normal. There is a balance ring filled with water attached to the inner drum. The balance ring is sealed and is not supposed to be empty. When you turn the inner drum by hand, you're hearing the water settling down from the now upper chambers of the balance ring.

I have a Maytag neptune model mdg3000aww, and the spin cycle is not working. I have replaced the control board, yes the r11 resitor was burnt, the wax motor, yes the door lock light comes on now, and...

Did you check the out of balance switch on the bottom.I FIXED ONE LAST WEEK. All I did was push it a couple of times real hard until I heard it click. You can activate the diagnostic mode & see if the out of balance switch is activated. That is what I did after I found out the out of balance switch was activated & stuck on, I pushed it twice & it deactivated & spun out fine.

My washer is spinning and moving all over the floor. I think the counter balance system is out of wack. Is it worth getting fixed?

is the machine level and the leg jamb nuts tight against the bottom of the machine so they can't get out of whack?if these are not level the machine will crawl across the floor

Maytag Neptune MAH3000AWA seems to be rubbing

I suspect that you have a leveling bracket come loose. Many of the Maytag washers also use a large concrete block fastened underneath to help balance things. Look to see if yours is this type. If so then the steel rod holding thinge that holds it in place may have come loose...should be easy to put back correctly but will require some muscle. Most of the Sears Kenmore units have springs that can come loos from their connections and require re hooking but I do not think you have this type of unit for a Maytag. Hope this helped.
