(2) 3 ohm voicecoils wired in parallel net a 1.75 ohm impedence.
The amplifier will produce 2000W 1 ohm
1500W @ 2 ohm.
A 1.75 Ohm load will be somewhere inbetween.
Plan on 1750W.
Plenty of power for both in the proper enclosure.

Add up the fuses on the amplifiers to get your peak current draw.

Add 30-35A for normal usage by the car.

130A usually would do the trick.

Ohio Generator makes stock replacements with pulley alterations and upgraded assemblies for reasonable prices.

I have a jl 1000/1 and a pioneer 600/4 and i have noise from the motor i cheked the ground replaced the 4 gauge still the same

the noise is from the alternater i believe. you just need to buy a noise filter and install it. i believe this problem is from power supply for your amp going straight to the battery. is that helpful?

you dont want to connect both of those amplifiers together. You could run them separately to separate subs or the jl to your sub and your alpine to your front speakers. But you dont ever want to mix and match amps to the same sub. Even if you had 2 jl500/1's you wouldnt want to just hook them up together. Because they both have to be putting out the exact same amount of power. Which no 2 amps are ever exactly the same. Some companies make bridges to properly connect 2 exact amps together. I Hooked up 2 JL 1000/1's to each voice coil on a 13.5 W7 and i smoked the sub. So i definitely dont reccommend doing it unless the amps are conneccted to separate things.

If the power supply feeding the amp is OK, it should have blown the fuse well before the voltage dropped to 5v. What size/type fuse do you have in the power wire feeding the amp?

This sounds like an amplifier that trying to push a lower impedance load than its supposed to. Typical aftermarket car speakers have a 4ohm reading per voicecoil. By running more than one speaker per channel you can get more power(sometimes alot more) from the amp by feeding it a 2ohm load or more. If the amp isn't designed to handle ratings less than 4ohms a channel it will overheat and shutdown.

3000 watts divided by 12 volts=267 amps...how hot is your alternator...have you considered a separate alternator or a battery isolator?
