It seems that u have installed a faulty driver that was not for your notebook

what u can do is when u enter the post in your notebook than keep pressinf the f8 key and hope u come in the safemode when u there than make a system restore like a day or 2 back and than it will be fine , if that is not possible than try to press the f11 key for complete system restore if u have maked a system backup on dvd

if thats not possible than the only thing u can do is bring it back for a rma at ibm

a rma is that u contact the reseller where u buy the notebook from the give u a rma number that u need to keep and u have to send the notebook to them for repair, if it is still in warranty than it will cost nothing if the warranty is over than it can be very expensive for repair like between 150 a 300 euro or even more.

Where can I download for free a missing manual for IBM ThinkPad T60

Hello visit the lenovo support site:

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?selector=expand

Lenovo has the support for ibm products.
The ibm site is just for servers.

Select model number in search for drivers.

Or install this software:

System Update helps you reduce the time, effort, and expense required to support and maintain the latest drivers, BIOS, and other applications for Think or Lenovo systems. It enables you to get the latest updates from the Lenovo support site.

Good luck

My lenovo t60 screen goes black 15 seconds after

Hi, try to boot into safemode, turn your system on then keep on tapping F8 to get the windows advance Menu screen, select safemode.

In the safemode windows go to Control panel and check your power options, you will see what time frame your system has for the LCD when turning off.

If this does not fix the issue, try booting into safemode with networking for you to be able to go online in safemode try updating your BIOS from your Manufacturers Website, Updating your bios may fix the issue.

Ibm t60 will not boot after ibm updates

The problem is sort of solved. I phoned the IBM Support centre; they said that the mother board was either broken or faulty. Fortunately the laptop is still under waranty and so an engineer will come and fix it. I must say the IBM suport centre was very efficient and quick.

There was no mention from them though that it was the bios update that may have caused the problem.

I'll update when the laptop is working.

Thanks.

T60 will not boot up

There appears to be a BIOS update or two available for the Lenovo TP T60. One of the updates makes reference to this error code, but the verbage afterwards is a little different to that posted here. Mind you, my recommendation is that you should stay on target with BIOS updates because they are fixing problems with the computer, even if you don't realise you are having those problems!

Please go here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-64462.html

Press Ctrl F and search for 2100. This tells you which update fixed a problem with ERROR 2100: At the bottom of this page you will find that these updates are for all regions. You will also find the link to the BIOS update utility.

My experience of BIOS updates on the Thinkpad range is that you have to undock the laptop prior installing the BIOS update, and ensure the laptop has a constant power support - NOT BATTERY. Ensure you read the on-screen notes carefully.

Hope this helps.
