Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Everytime i turn on my sansa it says "Refreshing your media" and it stops loading 3 forths of the way through. And it stays like that for hours and then the screen turns white and it powers down. within...

One of your files is corrupted. If, when you connect it, it shows as a removable drive in my computer, run "chkdsk yourdriveletter :" in window's command prompt. It will scan your player for any corrupted file on it. If it shows as a media player in my computer, format it. I don't remember who to do it for a mtp device on windows yet because I don't use it anymore but back up your date before any of those steps because those operations might destroy them.

My sansa fuze is not working

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me;.

Offhand, the message indicates that the Sansa is requesting that the internal storage be reformatted using the PC. This would require that the Fuze be connected to the PC through USB. Thereafter, the computer would recognize it as an external storage device. Steps required to format:
  • connect Sansa Fuse to USB of PC;
  • double click on "My Computer";
  • it would show probable as an "E";
  • right click on the "E" and click on "Format...";
  • a new window will pop up;
  • under the "File system" pls select FAT or FAT 32;
  • verify that "Quick Format" is un-checked;
  • click on Start button.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

(e260R) Refresh Database eternal loop

Turn it on into recovery mode (Hold + Record Button + Power)
Connect to computer (You should detect a 16MB drive)
Make an empty text file inside the 16MB Drive and rename it to "sansa.fmt"
Unplug the Sansa. You should see now a "Formatting..." on the Sansa's screen.
Sansa fixed!

Screen remains on Refresh Database everytime I turn it on.

I've run into this also. a few options.. 1) Use the Sansa Updater software to upgrade firmware. (available on Sandisk website) 2) Sometimes adding a couple new songs back wakes it up.

Microsoft asks for a certificate for sansa e260

Try uninstalling and reinstalling your windows media player software. If you have a card inserted on your player it would normally do that refresh database. If not try updating the firmware of the player.
