Flame flickers and jumps it will stay lit for a while then just puffs out

The pilot assembly probably has dust in it. With the unit off and cool, use a drinking straw and blow across the opening of where the pilot light flame lights. Do not blow directly into the pilot opening, as the dust will only become more lodged in the orfice. By blowing across the top of the opening, the moving air will 'vacuum' the dust up and out allowing a more staedy blue pilot light to engage the thermocouple. You may have to repeat this processa couple times depending on how much dust is in the opening. These OPD pilots are very sensitive.

Dyna glo tag along propane heater pilot stays on but when turning

sounds like either a bad thermocouple or more likely a pressure regulator problem. should have unit checked by someone familiar with propane systems.

I have a vent-free Glo warm propane stove (as in fireplace type).Pilot is yellow and stays on enough to get fire going, but then whole thing shuts off. Does it need new part/cleaning?

Hi, and yes it does need to be cleaned. The pilot flame should be a nice strong blue with just a little yellow at the tip.You should have a flame sensor next to the pilot that should be engulfed by the pilot flame.Should be made of ceramic and have a metal rod coming from end into flame. Clean the metal gently with steel wool, not sand paper. Try this to see if it solves the problem and let me know if I am wrong as far as having this sensor. Clean pilot anyway, as flame is not correct.Get back to me, Sincerely,

Glo-Warm Model #WMN20 20,000btu. Can hold down and ignite the pilot but as soon as i let go the pilot goes out and with out igniting the unit.

WITH THE HEATER OFF, clean the pilot flame unit with a can of compressed air. Blow directly into flame hole then try it again. if it continues to "not" stay lit then you need a new thermocouple.

How do i adjust the flame on ,my glo-warm propane heater?

if there is any adjustment it will be on the gas valve itself under the front of the unit....should have a little door that pulls down....you should see a knob that says "Higher....Lower" something like that....if the knob only says "ON , Off and Pilot" there is no adjustment

We had a problem keeping the pilot light to stay on, and this site recommended that it could possibly be the thermocoupler that was causing our problems also. We ordered the thermocouple, put it on,hooked it back up and it worked great! Thank you so much.
ordered thermocouple from www.masterparts.net
