I do not know how to solve it without using remote control, but you can order a replacement remote control for your unit from Panasonic part website. A new Remote Control will cost you $24.72 plus tax and shipping. Just type the model number, SC-HT1500, scroll down to find "Find Parts & Accessories" on the right, click on it. The pop-up windows appears. Choose SAHT1500, for main unit, and you will go to the page where you can order many parts for your unit. II think it is worth to invest to a new remote control since many features do not work without it. How do i fix my remote to work my home theater. i have a htp-071 and my remote stopped working. the battries are brand new. I went away for the weekend and came home, remote didnt work. please help.

Test remote for operation. Problem is with either the remote or the receiver in the home theater.
Clean all battery contacts and install new, tested, working batteries in remote. Turn on am radio and tune AM dial to about 600 - turn up volume. Then bring remote to about one inch from radio and hit button on remote. You should hear a beep as long as you hold the button down. Every button will respond likewise. If nada at all remote is trashed, if works with some buttons then you have a partially operating remote. Try cleaning contacts for buttons that do not work or use some aluminum foil under those non working contacts.

Hay mate i have a kenwood krf-v408od and i dont have the remote. just wondering if i can turn the loudness and dolby digital on without the remote?

http://inform3.kenwoodusa.com/manuals/VR-804.pdf

Loudness: page 19 = Remote only.

The Input Mode key (page 8) selects how input signal are detecetd and handled. DD is NOT something YOU decide on. It is either in the signal or it isn't.

As far as getting the remote goes. It's an RC-R0626. Hit the Search Engines and find one.

Pioneer VSX-D608 Optical connection

The manual states that the default association of each digital input in as follows:
  • Optical 1: CD
  • Optical 2: MD
  • Optical 3: TV
  • Coax: DVD
Use the "Signal select" button to set the receiver to use a digital input, and the Dolby/DTS button (above "Signal select") to enable decoding.

As samz11 stated above, a remote is required to alter the digital input mapping.

Set wont turn on from remote intermittently and occasionally turns itself off W70-2100

Does the TV turn off on it's own, or is the remote being pointed at the TV when it goes off - without you pressing the power button on the remote? If the TV goes off with the remote pointed at it (without you pressing the power button), it could be old batteries, or you need a new remote. Have you tried replacing the batteries in the remote? If it's not the batteries, have you got a universal remote lying around somewhere that you can program to operate the TV and try to operate the TV with it? If you determine that it's not the remote, it is probably something to do with the infrared remote sensor, or something faulty in the sensor's circuit board that controls the power switch. How old is the TV? If still under warranty, I would call the manufacturer and explain your problem. They will be able to assist you with any further questions you may have. The number for the manufacturer's Customer Service is located inside of the owner's manual. If you no loner have the manual, you can easily get the contact info via the manufacturer's website. Good luck, and I hope this helps...
