You should contact Microsoft for a new key.
We can't provide you a key becouse it's illigal, this would be piracy if we did.

activation of windows should be through internet. are you sure you are connected to the internet?

If your computer came with it loaded on it, there should be a small sticker somewhere on the computer with the key.

If you purchased it after you purchased the computer the key should be in the documentation that came with the CD.

you can do it by phone . Call microsoft and they will give you the activation key.

Your activation key comes with the CD. If you dont have the CD then you are out of luck. Of cours, I have the crack but its illegal to share it.

If you are using a legal licenced copy of xp then you can activate it over the phone by just following the prompts.

If on the other hand you have no licence key, i suggest you look for advice elsewhere as these activities are illegal.

I believe that kind of question isn't allowed. We can not offer you/give you a legitimate Windows XP Home Edition Serial Key. The reason is simple, it's illegal. There are plenty of websites that store serial keys but the thing is, those are probably already blacklisted and do not allow you to update your computer. Which off course is a big security risk.

There are alternatives though to get Windows XP pretty cheap.
1. Buy a new PC with XP. Usually you'll get an OEM license.
2. If you are still a student, maybe your school has some interesting offers for it's students.
3. Use a serial key from an older PC. Install XP using the software disc you have and if it cannot activite because of the hardware being to different from the PC Windows was activated on you'll need to call Microsoft (phone number is on the Activation Utility)
