WD62 hotpoint washer dryer

Hi there

I'm following your instructions on how to unblock the washer dryer. I've taken off the back panel and then you say pull out the filter and unblock it. Can you explain what the filter looks like please? I've never tried to unblock a washing machine before and I can't tell what the filter is!

Thanks very much for your help.

The washing machine will not unlock the door. It blew a fuse in the electric plug, we replaced the fuse, the machine runs, but will not release the door.

The filter is a grey piece of plastic which is tube shaped and has holes in it . It can be found in entrance of the black rubber hose which connects the drum to the pump. Release the clip that holds the hose to the drum (be careful about any water that may still be in there) and then look inside the hose end . you can prise out the filter with a bit of force.

You will find the filter located inside the large black hose attached to the bottom of the drum.
Remove the securing clip, and detach hose, you will see the plastic filter inside the hose.
Remove and clean.
Be careful when you remove hose, as there will be some water in it.
Fit back in reverse order, and make sure the hose is on properly.
Plz rate my solution.Thanks.

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

The Bosch washers have always had an emergency door release, it is much easier to access on the new models though, they`ve placed it in the lower service panel.

Below I`ve attached my instructions for accessing the drain pump however, the latch release is located in the same place.

Once you`ve accessed the pump area via my instructions you`ll see a plastic "pull cord". If you pull it the door should unlock.

Let me know if you have nay trouble. Good luck.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker at your service first**

Start by removing the bottom front panel which provides access to the drain pump and manual door lock release.

1) Carefully lift and block (up with a 2x4 or egual block of some type) front of washer to provide access to screws along the bottom which are angled slightly.

2) Remove three (3) screws, then carefully slide panel down and away from washer.

3) You should now see the pump access filter to your right, as such...

4) The pump has a small tub connected to it which will allow you to try and drain the water from it before removing the filter.

5) The filter will unscrew counter clockwise...careful it likely has water in it. This is where a wet-dry shop-vac comes in handy....or a nearby floor drain.

6) Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap. Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the error code.

7) After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.

8) Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access panel off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.
Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "fixya" and good luck.

The word f2 come on when is washing

Follow the following set of instructions given below

  1. Unplug the washer.Take of the toe panel in the front by removing the three screws.
  2. Get a bunch of towels (You will need a lot)The pump is in the center, and it has a plastic grip handle that one can unscrew to remove the filter. As you unscrew it, water will come out. Be ready with the towels.
  3. Clean the filter assembly.
  4. If one wishes to check the inlet of the pump, remove the back panel, about 12 screws.
  5. Remove the large bellow from the bottom of the tub that goets to inlet of the pump by removing the clamp
  6. Lift up on the plastic cover that covers the wires that power the pump. There may be a small plastic catch that is lifted up as to allow the connector to become free.
  7. Remove the Torx screw that holds that is the center just under the filter screen.
  8. Pull the pump forward.Unclamp the pump outlet hose.
  9. Remove pumpUnclamp the large bellow on the pumps inlet and inspect for debris.
  10. Clean pump and fitler w/o getting water on the pump.
  11. Install in reverse order. Remember, it is much easire to put the inlet bellow and outlet hose on the pump before you put into the washer

Fault with Ariston Washer/Dryer

Make sure the filter is clean, its behind the front bottom panel which just pull off, then unscrew the filter thumb wheel until it comes out. Check it is clean and replace, Now unplug the machine and set the programme to your normal start setting leaving the door open. Remove the screws retaining the back panel and unplug all the connectors to the circuit board found in the bottom left hand corner. Turn the power back on ensuring the red LED illuminates and leave for 2 or 3 minutes before unplugging the power again and reconnecting the circuit boards and replacing the back panel. Reconnect the power and turn the machine on, close the door and with luck it will work. If this does not clear the fault repeat the process again or look on ebay for a new machine!
