it was the cooling fan in bottom of fridge that has broken. called an electrician to fix the problem as we could not be without the fridge. we no longer need you to try to give us an answer.

Change filter most likely this is the filter for the water.Meaning dirty water and foul tasting ice.Some filters are located in the front easy to reach areas at the bottom near the floor usually left side under freezer.

it means there is a fault with the units compressor fan you will notice the fridge is running with less noise you will need to call a service man to come fix it good luck

Hello Angela Clark - Typically error code SY CF indicates that the refrigerator has detected a communication failure after power up. Contact a professional to move forward accurately. The wiring between the main control board and user interface board will need to be check and diagnose. Depending on the diagnoses the main control board may need replacing.
