I presume you mean your motherboard's software/driver disk? If so, "MSI N1996" is NOT a motherboard. For details, refer to post #6 by "Jerry K" at http://forums.driverguide.com/showthread.php?t=21551

"Jerry K" also gives the best advise how to determine system specifications (i.e., get Everest). I could not agree more! Although, Everest is now only trialware [they no longer offer the "Home" (freeware) edition], you can still choose to download/install it. After all, you only need it for the one use at this time.

HOWEVER, the solid FREEWARE alternative to Everest is "SIW (System Info for Windows)". Just as comprehensive as Everest, it's a system diagnostic tool that will gather up every detailed hardware and software aspect of any system. This info will help you determine whatever it is you wish to know about any system. It's a must have for EVERY system user who does not currently have anything comparable.
