1 Answer

Sony XVM-R75 Roof mount 7" monitor.

I am trying to find a mounting bracket to fit this in my car. I do not want to cut a hole into my roof so can anyone please tell me where I can find the plastic spacer that fits in between the unit and the roof?

I have a contact that has this plastic mount/spacer, but I believe it is about $38 dollars. It is the Sony OEM. Feel free to contact me and I will get more information if you like.

That better be a good monitor.

Needs for holes(min.) drilled into the roof. Then use rubber washers in between FLM and roof. Connect to light's wires.

Hi Coleman,

Nothing really special needed unless you get it running and you have lines or snow on the screen. You can use a the PS2's A/V cable, just run it on the opposite side of the car from the power. Also, you will probably need more length than the average PS2 A/V cable has, so Splice in some length. As far as mounting, Most of the time, I fashion an adapter to connect into the bracing for the dome lamp. You might get lucky and find a Bracket made for the Expedition. If you do not like the postition of the Dome lamp, thge roof of the expedition should have ribs. You can make some cross beams to span betweent he Ribs and allow for mounting your Monitor.
