You will need to partition your hard drive into two bootable partitions. Install Vista on one partition and XP on the other. This will make your system a dual boot system. Hope this helps.

Do you have the full version cd or the upgrade? You will need the full version cd of Windows Vista to do this as the upgrade disk automatically overwrites existing Windows. I hope this helps.

I'm using vista home premium os, however the problem I enccounter is once you install software which is compatible for windows NT, xp home and windows 2000, the software the one I installed is not properly...

Yes, if you use a Virtual Machine, you can install the version of windows you wish to work with, install the software, and it should work just fine.
You will however need a genuine copy of windows to install in the virtual machine.
You may be able to find an image of the OS you need, or a snapshot of an OS, to load into the VM, it all depends on the type of VM you are going to use

Hi, I can't get internet to work on my laptop. I have windows Vista. Internet works great on my other computer which has XP. What can I do?

First, I will have to know what type of laptop.
Second, what operating system was originally on the laptop.
Third, What version of VISTA are you trying to install.
Fourth, what kind of error message, if any are you getting.

Error -need to re-install the operating system

Insert your Windows Vista Basic CD into the CD ROM drive and restart your computer.

It will autoboot from the CD and you can reinstall Vista Basic.

Should you have further problems don't hesitate to give more details.
