Question about Sony Battery Charger for PSP

Psp wall charger

If the light is blinking is it charging because my battery wont charge

I have the same problem... I thought it might be because that wall charger can only charge the 1800mAh battery and not any of the larger ones like the 2200mAh batteries. I can charge my smaller 1800 battery, but not my second, larger 2200 battery in it... I get the blinking light. I ordered an actual AC adapter to see if the PSP itself can charge it.

Have you tried a new battery?

They can only take so many recharge cycles before they die like my Ryobi cordless drill stuff

Charger seems to have both red and green lites flashing at the same time no sequence and both batteries connected read 4.0 VDC, are these chargers repariable or throw aways

Your manual is here. The section on charging states, that green blinking means your battery is fully charged but blinking red means that your charger is faulty. I would say repairable.

1. Plug the female connector of the AC power cord (supplied) to the AC receptacle on the charger and plug in the male connector on the AC power cord into the wall outlet.

2. The On/Off LED indicator is blinking RED, this is abnormal. Unplug AC power cord from the on-board battery charger and wall outlet. Charger may need to be replaced. Contact an Invacare dealer or qualified technician.

3. When the On/Off LED indicator light is Off, charger is Off.

4. When the Charge LED indicator light is YELLOW, the batteries are charging.

5. When the Charge LED indicator light is solid GREEN, the batteries are fully charged (as their condition will allow).

6. When charging is complete, unplug the male connector of the AC power cord from the wall outlet and then unplug the female connector of the AC power cord from the AC receptacle on the charger.

My PSP wont charge. I used several different chargers. I just bought it brand new and it wont charge at all. A light does not come on at all I also have a Nintendo DSI XL that wont charge either. I...

It sounds like the electrical input isn't working. Try plugging the chargers into other wall jacks. It could be that your PSP is defective, which in that case you should exchange it at the store you bought it at. Since you bought it brand new, it should still be under warranty.

My psp wont turn on. the amber chargeing light is on, even left for a few hours to charge still wont charge and replaced the battery.

Hi there!
When you charge your PSP with the charger (USB/wall) does the power light turn to amber? If it does not, It's possible that your charger (USB/wall) is already broken. You may need to purchase a new one.
If it does, you may have either a loose power switch (which happens on my PSP Go) or you may need to have your unit checked with a qualified technician.
Hope this helps!

I have a PSP that I charged overnight and a orange light came on when i plugged it in to the wall charger. After charging all night I went to power on the PSP and it will not power on, no green or orange...

Remove the battery.
Plug the PSP charger into the PSP.
Turn it on.

The PSP works with no battery inside.
If you're not getting a green light at all, your PSP has some sort of damaged as it should work while plugged in with no battery inside.

It's the battery. if it were the charger the light wouldn't come on at all.

PSP cannot be charge through wall charger

Maybe the powerpoint that you used isn't working!

Try charging on another powerpoint!

If it isn't the chargers' fault, then it must be your battery, or PSP DC IN connector, where you insert the charger into the PSP.
