When I turn on the power for mac book , it's screeming for hours

Dear Sir,
One day I was working on my mac book , using internet connection. Then suddenly I got a message from apple like 'update your macbook.........' . And also to do that first step is 'Press and hold the combition of some keys (I didn't remember them ) and the power button for 5 seconds' . Thats it. That's my first and last mistake with apple computer.
From then onwards , when I turn on the power , it began screeming . Only screeming sound. nothing more than that . I could not find anything on screen. I kept it like that for a whole day. The whole day it was screeming. But Iam sure that the battery is good. and also the power supply is fine. When I turn on the system I can see the power light (grey light) on.
Please help me sir.
Thank you .
Surender.
I have the same problem but holding the "option" button when I click the power button did not help me. Any other solutions please.

Sounds like the update was a firmware update. And if it was stopped in the process of updating, it may have corrupted the bios. Call Apple @ 800.275.2273 and tell them what happened.

Yeah, it does sound like a Fireware update. I've done those before.
Defiantly call Apple and get the tech guy. It's really your only option.

Sir that is the problem with mac book I think that you should have a driver for your mac book to activate your broadband. Try to use a dual os for your mac it really works follow this link http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_do_i_install_windows_xp_on_my_mac_using_boot_camp_1.html good day and best regards.

My printer wont turn on

Dear Sir,

If your computer won't turn on, try each of these steps:
  1. Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a working wall outlet, and that it's properly connected to the power adapter. (To check if the wall socket is working, plug in a lamp or other electrical device.)
  2. Make sure that the power adapter is properly connected to the power port on the back of the computer.
  3. Disconnect all accessories that are plugged into the computer, such as a printer, hub, or iPod.
  4. Reset the computer's PMU, SMC, or PRAM. Refer to the instructions for your model:
  5. Try plugging a different power cord into the computer (if you have a working one available). If the computer starts up, replace the old power cord.
  6. If the computer uses a power adapter, try connecting a different power adapter to the computer (if you have a working one available). If the computer starts up, replace the old power adapter. (Computers that use a power adapter include MacBook, MacBook Pro, iBooks, PowerBooks, Power Mac G4 Cube, and Mac mini.)
  7. If you tried all of the steps above and the computer still won't turn on, contact Apple technical support (1-800-APL-CARE in the U.S.) or take your computer to the nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) for diagnosis. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using

Won't turn on

Did you try to disconnect the battery and connect you mac book to the charger? If it turns on with the power connected and without the battery, probably your battery is broken.

When I turn on the power for mac book , it's screeming for hours

Try this:

Turn your laptop on, but hold the "option" key down when you click the power button. Hold it until you see the drive picture come up. Double click on the drive and it should work for you. Once in, go to applications foler and find disc utility. double click it and find repair disc option. Hit that and it will let you know if there are any errors on the disc. If they are hit repair and it should be business as usual.
