How should I wire a 4 channel amp for alpine sps 600, 609

they are only 4 ohm speakers so just put the front speakers on channels 1&2 or a&b and the rear on 3&4 or c&d since you are using a 4 channel amp thats what they are designed for

I am wondering about car amplifiers, I don't know what kind to get, I have Alpine 6.5" 2-Way Car Speakers (SPS-600), 80 watt as my front speakers, and Alpine 6 1/2" 2-Way Car Speakers (SPR-17C), 100 watt...

I would strongly recommend that you get a 5 channel amp that puts out 75watts rms per channel that will deliver between 200-300 watts to the sub channel. I use planet audio amps myself and they run strong all day every day-maybe you could look at a planet audio vrx 600.5(5-channel) it throws 100w x4 and 200 or 300 to the subs depending on the resistance of the sub. Good luck

My new alpine type S speakers sound like ****... why?

Alpine speakers are some of the best around... this is maybe why you purchased them.. BUT if you run them against a head unit you will only get 7 - 25W per channel which is naff

So.... you need to get your hands on an amp, don't go for the biggest thing you can find, stay with the 200 - 300w range. Then your Alpines will be kickin!

:o)

Can this power a subwoofer and what is the rms wattage

Hello crucible19,

The Alpine MRP-F240 is a 4-channel amp that outputs 40 watts RMS per channel. It is more suited for powering normal speakers, but since it is bridgeable, you could power a small sub by bridging 2 of the channels.

Hope this helps.

Hi i have two 10'' jenson xs sub and they are about 6 years old and i was wondering wut amp size i should buy to run them.

I believe these are 4ohms, if so buy a 2ohm stable monoblock amp, that puts out 250-300 watts RMS, and connect your subs to it in parallel, don't pay attention to peak watts, look at RMS watts, or continuous watts. If they're 2 ohms, buy a 2 ohm stable 2 channel amp that puts out 125-150 watts RMS per channel, and 250-300 watts total or bridged RMS output. And connect them normally, on sub per channel... hope this helps, as far as brand recommendations, MTX, pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood... Good luck

I have 2 channel amp but only one sub. how do i make this work

is the amp "bridgable"? ou have a 2 channel amp, look a the terminals that are for the speaker output. they should have + - , + - 1 positive and 1 neagative per channel. but if you can bridge the connection it alters the power and nearly doubles the power output look to see if the output terminals have somethign like this + (+) -  , +  - (-). in that case you would hok the positive wire up to the left output terminal and one wire to the right output terminal.

Want to bridge my alpine 3555 amp to run my sub.

I'm assuming this atleast a 2 channel amplifier all you need to do is hook the negative side of the speaker wire coming from the sub to the negative channel one. and the positive to another positive on channel 2. Should indicate on your amplifier channel one and two. most amps provide a diagram right on the amplifier over top of the speaker inputs. let me know if this helps.

MRV - 1507 Question ...

The MRV-1507 is a two channel amplifier, below I've pasted important info from the manual:

Battery Lead (Sold Separately)
Be sure to add a 80 amp fuse as close as possible
to the battery’s positive (+) terminal. This fuse will
protect your vehicle’s electrical system in case of a
short circuit. If you need to extend this lead, the wire
gauge should be AWG8 or larger.
MRV-1507 ... 80A amp fuse

Power Output: RMS Continuous Power (at 12.0V, 20 Hz to 20
kHz)
MRV-1507
Per channel into 4 ohms ......................... 150W, 0.08% THD
Per channel into 2 ohms .......................... 300W, 0.3% THD
Bridged into 4 ohms ................................ 600W, 0.3% THD

You can find a manual for this amp here:
