Question about Dell E771p 17" CRT Monitor
I got a Dell E771mm 17 in.CRT. The screen is narrowing in on both sides in a curve towards the center of the screen.I have this monitor for 1 year and 3 months. The store i bought it from said they cant do anything as it is a refurbish monitor and is sell with only 30 days warranty; all this I'm just finding out. Yesterday when the problem start it give off a little sound before the screen got small. What can be the problem?
How far from the sides is the image? If it?s just an inch or two you can use the monitor adjustments to expand the image to the edge of the screen where it was previously. If its too far in then the only option is to have it repaired. You didn't mention where you are but in the US even a minor monitor repair that involves at tech opening the monitor is going to cost at least $45, perhaps more. That?s a lot of money for a monitor worth about $100 new so a new or used monitor may be a more cost effective option for you.
