Hi the easy way is to type: "nintendo ds lite replacement case tutorial" into youtube there are many videos giving good step by step instructions showing how to replace the casing. You will also need a triwing screwdriver for 4 screws in the lower part of the DS lite (these can be bought on ebay for a couple of euro)
It is written for the Shock clear case, but it works for all of them. It isn't for the faint of heart! Just take your time, and do each step with a lot of care (and patience!) I thought I fried my NDSL when it turned on and immediately off, but it turned out the lcd ribbon wasn't properly seated when reattaching. Let me know if you have any trouble..
