Re: How can i make my DVD player work for this tv?
It is a low priced set or it would have video input jacks to answer the first part of your question. Now to fix this all you need to do is go to Radio Shack and pick a Video Addapter that will convert the Audio and Video over to Channel 3/4.

You have to connect the DVD player using the RCA video and audio cables that came with the player, they are three wires with yello, red and black connectors on either end. Connect the yello( video) cable to the yellow connctor on the DVD player and the other end to the yellow connector on the back ro the front of the TV, do the same for the others fro sound. Then turn the DVD palyer and TV on and select the correct input on the TV using the remote, they will be Line 1 or Line 2 depending on your connection. you can get to these either through the channels button or TV/Video buttons.
Hi you have obe of two options have you tried leaving the dvd plugged in then switch it off at plug leave the telly on then switch the dvd on at plug then switch dvd on usually it pick up the signal on it own if this dont work you will then need to buy an all in one remote let me know how you get on ok. These remotes are cheap to buy and do work
If it's too old and probably doesn't support progressive scan plug it on s-video or yellow rca plug, but be sure your DVD is setted for that. If is setted for component output plug it on another tv who support and redo the settings.
Try looking on your tv's menu for "input" or "input select". This should allow you to switch to your front AV inputs. If that doesn't work hook into the coaxial cable in the back of the set (the one for your cable or satellite input. Plug the cable from the output or to tv side of your reciever into the input of the dvd player and run another lenghth of coaxial cable from the output of the dvd player to the coaxial input where your satellite or cable was plugged into the back of your set. When you want to watch a DVD just turn on the DVD player and the picture should come up. When you turn it off your satellite or cable should come right back.
