If this is a thermistor and not a thermostat you will have to remove the wires from the board and find a legend of values for the thermistor at a given temperature (usually @ 32' which a glass of ice water will do) If the reading is correct then your problem is in the board either not putting out the voltage or not picking the voltage back up.

Or not likely but possibly it could have been a film covering the connection when you removed the wires. Retry and if it still doesn't work its board time.

The drains on items like this get a sludgy residue built up in the drains. Make sure its clear. Empty the bin and you should see the drain port run a small amount of hot water in it. Not a lot as it could leak from the drain tray if it has one. If the drain is clear then it could be a nice maker issue where it's dumping too much water in the tray to harvest. Excess would spill over.

The Ice is not sliding out completely over grid

Limescale on the plate sticks to the ice. Descale with proprietary descaler and make sure the plate is scrupulously clean. If the timer is adjustable, give it an extra minute harvest time, and make sure condenser is clean as a whistle! Also check icemaker is level so block slides down onto cutting grid easily

My ice maker in my side by side refrig/freezer leaks water so that a solid block of ice is formed in the tray maker. This prevents dispensing of cubes. What can I do?.

Hello,

The cause of that is the water inlet valve is not fully closing but instaed its staying open a little and seeping water through it all the time which is dripping into the storage bin for the icemaker and freezing all the ice into one huge block. To repair that the water inlet valve on the back of the ref. where the house water supply line attaches to would need to be replaced.

I have a Kenmore Coldspot refrigerator with top freezer. The icemaker is "leaking" if it is the right word into the ice tray bin that it is building a chunk of ice along with the regular ice...

There are many things that can go wrong with a Kenmore refrigerator ice maker. Your ice maker may be leaking. It may not make any ice at all, or the ice that comes out smells or has an odd appearance. The problem may have an easy solution, or it may require a technician's expertise. The troubleshooting tips in this article will minimally make you aware of what is likely the source of the problem. You may be able to fix the problem yourself and save a bundle.

When it Won't Make Ice
1. Get a thermometer and see how cold it is in there. If your freezer is fewer than 17 degrees F, it won't make ice.
The freezer temperature setting may be too high or the thermometer is broken and not calibrated correctly. If adjusting the temperature fails to work, call a Kenmore technician.
2. Determine if your water fill spout in the freezer is plugged with ice. If so, no new ice can be made. Try clearing it out or melting the ice by running a hair dryer on it for a few minutes.
3. Turn your refrigerator around to look at the back side to see if water is getting to the water inlet valve behind the fridge. If the water is not properly connected, there's no water to make ice.
4. Use an ohm meter to test for coil continuity. If the ohm meter shows there is no continuity, then you will need to replace the water inlet valve.

When the Ice Maker Leaks
1 Refer to your user manual to determine where your fill volume adjustment dial, is and turn it down. One-half to one full turn usually is approximately equal to 20 to 40 cc, and the correct fill is usually 130 to 150 cc ( 4.5 to 5.0 oz ).
2 See if there are icicles hanging from the fill spout and/or on the ice maker's sides. If there are, this means your water inlet valve is leaking and will need replacing. Refer to your user manual for a part number, or call a technician.
3 Check to see if the ejector seal is cracked. If it is, replace it. Refer to your user manual for a part number, or call a technician.

Thanks have a nice day!

I have A GE Profile frige (PFSS9PKYASS) with a Samsung ice maker (DA97-07365A). After replacing the water filter, the ice maker made very very large cubes and now will not work automatically. It will work...

Good day!!!!

This could be because the ice is clumped in the ice bin. When the automatic defrost cycle occurs, heat is transferred to the freezer area. This can cause the cubes to melt slightly and refreeze back together. You can take the bin out and give it a good shake, or simply discard the cubes and start over with a fresh batch of ice cubes. By increasing the amount of food in the freezer compartment, you may be able to buffer the heat that comes from the defrost cycle and avoid clumping issues. If you have a large ice bin and hardly use any ice, it is possible that the cubes have gotten stuck together just from the weight of the cubes on top of others.

Hope this information will be helpful..

The board could be bad, sounds like you have done the test by chilling then warming the thermister and see the rise/drop in ohms value depending whether the thermister is warmer or colder

My KUIC15prts2 is producing way too much ice. What do I need to check to make it stop?

there is a bin thermister, when you open the door look on the right side of the bin and you will see a white (L) shaped bar thant has wires connected above the cutter grid. the bar (bin thermister) is what senses the ice level, when ice reaches it the machine would turn itself off. replace this bin thermister. the part# is 2313633

Kitchenaid stand alone ice does not make ice feel heat inside bin

Either has electric problem or mechanical.
way to tell is plug it up, turn it on turn on water. If its sending in water unplug it and if water stops it is electrical and the ice maker head is causing the problem if it stops the water valve is stuck open and you can disassemble and clean it out sometimes. A slight lime scale can cause this.
Hope this helps please rate me accordingly and good luck.
