after i bring up my menu and then hit exit the tv button blinks and then brings up the menu again..the only way i can keep the menu from popping back up is if i cover the infrared signal to the tv on the remote otherwise the menu comes back on..my tv is a panasonic if that helps..this is an annoying problem..like some help if anyone knows how to stop it..thanks

your remote has an defect to verify it take out the batrries from out teh remote and see what the tv do.if you still have the problem replace the eeprom it could be defected.good luck
