  • Access your router's setup page by typing 192.168.0.1 on the address field of your Internet Explorer browser
  • It will then ask for a username and password.
  • Username: admin Password: password
  • Once you're in your router's page, click on Wireless Settings from the menu which can be found on the left panel.
  • From there you will find the wireless settings configured in your router.
  • Your wireless computer must be configured with the same wireless settings.
Hope this helps!

Use the Wireless setup in Control Panel to configure your wireless connection. Setup your wireless configuration with the disc you received with your Router/Modem. Call your Inet vendor for help.

Make sure that the wireless settings set in the Netgear router are properly configured in the computer. Check the wireless adapter status from Device Manager and see to it that it is working properly.

I think someone is crashing my netgear wireless, how do I make it secure so that onlt I can use it?they are slowing my bandwidth and I have not invited anyone in!

make it secure by,

access the netgear router configuration page (you need to do this hardwired)

1. check your IP address, click start -> all programs -> accessories -> command prompt
2. in the black box (command prompt) type in ipconfig and hit enter
3. look for the value of Default Gateway (that's your routers IP address)
4. open an internet browser and go to that address

for more detailed instructions, visit www.netgear.com and select your router model and choose supports & downloads

I have resently gotten my Grandmother a Belkin Notebook card "G" (f5d7010) to use in her Gateway laptop. In the instuctions of how to get internet on her card, it says to put the card into the "Wireless...

Hello,

In Ideal scenarios, you should just plug in the card in the notebook and it should get installed automatically.

Than you may scan for the available networks and you should be able to see the network of your Netgear router(Assuming that the Netgear you have mentioned is wireless capable and configured).

You can connect to the network and it should work fine.

Let me know what happens.
Regards,
Sammy

My computer doesn't connect to the wireless router. The router works, I can connect my Wi-Fi mobile phone to the router and get internet access

did you set up your wireless connection using a wired internet connection. i have a netgear wireless system and tried to set it up without being 'wired' but you can not do it that way. you have to be connected to set it up, then you can configure it, and after that it should be ok. i actually went back to a 'wired' connection cos the netgear was very unreliable

Do I need software for my 111t wireless usb adapter?

Most likely, yes. At the very least, you'll need the driver for it. As for the wireless configuration software, you will probably have your choice of using either the Netgear provided software or the software built into Windows XP.

Using my laptop

Hi,
So let me make this clear. you want to be able to connect to the internet wirelessly with your laptop instead of having a cable plugged in. if so, what you need is a wireless router. you can purchase a netgear WGT624 connect that to your DSL modem and configure your laptop to connect wirelessly. there should be an icon on the lower right hand corner to configure your wireless on laptop. its easy. if your having a hard time doing that call dell at 800-8228965.

hope this helps.

thanks.
