If you have a virus on your computer chances are good that is the cause. If you can remove the virus by using symantec or something similar. I think the first thing to do is try to boot using a boot disk and possibly delete everything and start over with a fresh install.

Why does screen go black and keyboard and mouse no longer work?

Hello,

I'm not sure what Operating System you are using on your PC. But from what I can see, you might be using Windows XP, Vista and/ or 7. This kind of abnormality usually happens when the computer is infected with a Trojan or Malware. Is your antivirus software upto date and functioning well? Scan your PC and clean it fine.

If this still happens, you might be having some malfunctioned hardware; Motherboard, Ram, Keyboard or Mouse. Check these carelefully to ensure that they are working great.

Lastly, if this still happens, your Operating system might be having way too many errors that it might call for a re-installation. Backing up data and doing a clean re-installation might be something to look at.

Please let me know on how it all goes.

Userinit.exe application error

Hi again:

I would suggest that you may have a virus / spyware infection that has infected this windows file.

If you can boot into SAFE Mode ( reboot the computer) and when the screen goes to the black background with white writing start pushing F8 - keep doing so until you get a screen that gives you a list of things you can do -
ie:
restart windows normally
safe mode
safe mode w/networking

use the arrow keys on the keyboard and choose to boot into safe mode.- may take a couple of minutes

once there i would suggest running virus / antispyware scans as well as running a BOOT SCAN (a type of virus scan that scans the hard drive before it gets into windows)

NOTE on running virus/spyware scans - ALWAYS QUARANTINE the file infected - DO NOT DELETE - if you delete a critical windows system file you will cause windows to completely crash and in that instance you would have to reformat the hard drive and reinstall everything.

My Lenovo laptop starts up and shows Microsoft Windows starting to load but a few seconds later the screen goes black. The computer is on but it shows a black screen.

Try running in Safe mode.
Start the computer and hit the F8 key many times till you get Windows Advanced Option menu - Choose safe mode with or with out networking.

Does your computer seem to be working now? (safe mode is a limited use mode)
Chances are that your computer is infected and preventing normal use..

Restoring the computer would be the easiest way to fully clean out all infections and needed software corruptions. A full restore DELETES all DATA from the hard drive - Make sure you have all your data backed up. You can back up your DATA in side safe mode.

The information given relates to CORRUPTIBLE software like a virus....
Other issues may factor in to this but, not believed to be so.

Thank you for contacting Fixya.com.

It may not be a virus. It sounds more like a bad case of spyware. You may want to download, install, update, and run something like Malwarebytes AntiMalware. It sounds pretty serious, so it may need the attention of a PC technician to fully remove the infection.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like a memory problem. You have to remove the ram and spray some air using pressurized air in the slots then reinstall the memory. That might do the trick.

Was on web site when screen froze. I turned off

i would firstly disconnect from the net and delete the temp memory .
after that run a scan on your computer as your PC is infected and even with a virus protection infection do happen .
run the scan , make sure you have an up to date virus protection .
try also to press the following keys :
control , alt and delete in that order and see the task manager appearing .
have a good look at what is running which will give you an indication to what is running program wise .
if your PC does not run at all you have a more serious problem .
you may have to make sure that all your connections are ok ,
without knowing how and what happen i can only make up that your PC has crached the only fan running is the cooling fan for your power supply .

On bootup checks, stops at 02FC Main and second fans failed. Black screen with bootup messages. ?Has the MA7 even got two fans? How to correct.

Sounds like you may have a virus or trojan of some sort. They are hard to get rid of but try downloading avg 8.0 it's free and picks up most trojans and viruses. If you get a black screen with boot message just hit control alt delete together and your pc should bypass this problem and allow you in. If avg doesn't pick up trojan or virus it maybe a software failure but it will usually tell you whats missing and if pc was working fine and just started this it is most likely a virus or trojan
