I use Windows Media Player v. 11 (free software) with Windows XP transferred via the USB cable. This program will use the "sync" settings to add the music on your computer to the player. But, if the music is not in the MP3 or other compatible format for the player, then the WMP program will have to convert it first, which can take quite a few minutes if you have a lot of music.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

To put music on your Sansa e250 you will do this:
Download Windows Media Player 9 or 10 to your computer.
I would use Media Player 10 as it is the newer player.
After you download Media Player 9 or 10 open it up on your computer, and then hook up your mp3 player, it should be recognized by Media Player and then you can transfer the songs to it.
You need to put the music cd in your computer cd player and download the songs to Media Playeer using Windows Media Player 9 or 10.
I have also included a website where you can download the user manual, it will say e200, but the instructions are also for the e250.
Good Luck, I hope this helps.
Please rate me, Thank You.

Use Windows Media Player to transfer the songs downloaded from Limewire to your Sansa. The first time you open Windows Media Player, it will search the "My Music" folder for songs - this may take a few minutes. Mkae sure you have Windows Media Player 10 or 11. You can either move or copy the Limewire songs to the folder called "My Music," or go into Windows Media Player and change Windows Media Player's configuration so that it can read the Limewire downloads folder.
you dont need any disc... try using diffrent usb modes can be changed from the sansa setting\usb mode\ ....
a nice software to use when putting music into it are bearshare download free from www.bearshare.com
connect to your pc using usb connection. sansa should be recognized as storage media drive. navigate to the drive. Drag and drop files to music/video folder. Enable show hidden files and folders in your windows folder settings. Tools>Folder Options>View. Some of the folders are hidden. You can delete the preloaded music also. Some of them are in the radio folder.
Once that is downloaded and installed, open it, plug your Sansa into the computer by USB cable, click "Add media". Then you should see a window that says "Add media" Select the media you want to put on your Sansa. Once the media is added, then click "Convert". After it is finished converting, it should be on your Sansa. Hope that helps!
