It's not clear because you have to turn the part around the lense to focus it,
as far as the darkness goes... well that's another issue I'm trying to find out if maybe using a lamp closer will help brighten it but if you find out anything please share!

Launch the logitech toolbar and click on 'Settings' ( the two gearwheels on the pictorial toolbar.) Try adjusting from here - if you have no success - disconnect webcam - uninstall the current webcam software - restart computer - download the latest software from here http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/405/&cl=us,en?prodcrid=405 Identify your webcam from the gallery and click on it.
is it because its dark? for this webcam and alot of other webcams, the lighting of the room is a kep factor for the quality of your picture =] i think the reason the picture sucks and its fuzzy and the playback is slow is because its dark, in your room... theres like a funnel looking thing infront of your lens, try to keep the funnel thing from keeping a shadow.. if you see in the daylight with the windows open or open lighting from the sun, the quality of your picture is bomb =] if this doesnt work, im sorry =]
Ok, all I can think of is, that on the front of the camera there is an "Adjusting Ring" on the front of the "Lens" that can be adjusted on most cameras to adjust "Focus". try that?
Plus actually clean the lens with a "Cotton Bud" or the like.
