Check this remote control for its infrared emission. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Check this link and select the site named above. View it in 'Flip card' option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the left top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. You should use the search remote code feature:

  1. Hold the device button you want to program for 3 seconds & release.
  2. Push & release the power button & the red light will remain lit.
  3. Push the CHANNEL UP button over & over slowly until the device turns off.
  4. When device turns off press OK button.

Remote control
If you are sure that there is infrared emission from the remote control, replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. It can be located just behind the infrared window at its front panel. You have to open the TV to access it. There are many types of it. Some among them are illustrated here.

What is the sky remote control for Samsung
Hi

4 digits: 0060
3 digits: 065, 584, 037, 245, 476, 398, 516, 292, 318,037

Samsung (6000 series)
4 digits: 1340

As you used 0060 and it didnt respond please try to programma with the other 3 didgit codes.

If still you cannot programme it follow the below instruction:

1. To control your TV firstly switch on the TV set, point the Sky remote at the TV,
2. Press the "TV" button on the Sky remote, then press and hold the "Select" and "Red" buttons together until the red light at the top of the Sky remote control flashes twice.
3. Continue with this process by continuously pressing "TV" then "Standby" then "TV" then "Standby" etc until the TV set switches off. This will start using the inbuilt codes to programme the remote.

Same problem- SyncMaster goes on/off, bad TV image, needs reset

Remote does not work
You have either accidently turned "off" the control selector in the user menu or you may have a bad IR sensor in the tv. Will the tv turn on with Power button on the tv itself?

Locked control pad
Try a Logitech Harmony universal remote, they can be uploaded with the drivers from the internet and this might do the trick. Otherwise you can contact Samsung and ask for a replacement of the original remote.
