1984 Chevy Suburban tail lights not working

Check the tail light bulbs, check to make sure the dash lighting switch is turned up but not turned so far up that the interior lights come on when the door is closed.

I have a 2005 chevy impala when my headlights come on at dust my interior lights dim and my tail light fuse blows ? do I have a short in my electrical system or is one of my resistors going bad, if so...

youre impalas lights should actually be on all the the time. that model came with DRL, or daytime running lights. there are several fuses and relays that are associated with those, both under the hood in the fuse box and inside the car behind the panels located at either end of your dash. i would start there to see if any other fuses or relays are blown

My brake lights work but my tail lights and reverse lights don't work. Also my dash lights quit when I changed the switch for my headlights.

Check your fuses. I had the same problem with a 90 Honda civic. Dash lights went out, tail lights also went out. Replaced 1 fuse and all came back on.

Dash light do not come on but lights do for drl on 2005 chev equinox

DRL (Daytime Running Lights) will come on any time you start your car.
The dash lights do not come on, unless your headlights turn on. Either by a daylight sensor or if you manually turn them on by the switch.
So even though your headlights are on with the DRL, if you notice the tail lights do not come on (just like the dash lights don't).

To test if your dash lights do work, turn your headlight switch on. You should the the tail lights and dash lights come on.

Electrical problem

I just had the same issues. No headlights, interior lights, power door locks, radio controls on steering wheel, or dash lights. Pulled every fuse in cab and under hood, not a one was bad. I disconnected the battery terminals for a few minutes. When I reconnected them every thing was working.

Electrical problem

It turned out that disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it reset the control module and fixed the problem.
