How to change time

In Map view tap anywhere near the center of the screen. A new screen is displayed. On that screen locate the Change Preferences icon, tap it. Press the right pointing arrow (may have to tap 6 or 7 times) until you find the time and Date icon. Tap it and configure. You can set the clock manually or let it synchronize itself with the GPS signal.

My Mio M400 shows wrong time in spite of correctly designated time zone (My local time in Belgrade, Serbia, is 2035 and it shows 1507 (!?)

Go outside and wait until you get a GPS fix, the time and date will be set up automatically. If that's not right, reset the GPS from My Mio in the main menu

How do I reset the time?

Actually the time is sent to you by the GPS satellites. To set the time do a MENU>>VIEW>>SETTINGS and use the down arrow to scroll to the date and time and then set your GMT and Daylight Time Settings. For example: New York is now GMT -0:500 DST is set to OFF

No valid GPS signal for two days, what I can do?

You can try a reset Check in the manual where the reset hole is i thinlk this model is under the scfreen surround which is removable.

This will take ut back to factory settings, you might want to check if its set to the right PORT and BAUD try this

GPS Program Port: COM1
GPS Hardware Port: COM9
Baud Rate: 4880
Manage GPS Automatically (Ticked)

Now other reasons are low battery= low signal//fully charge the battery

no signal from satellites= damaged SIIRF chip caused by plugging into car power when starting engine...needs new m/board

Maximum time to access 1-9 minutes max...

Please rate my help++++Thanks for using FIXYA...

Cant change time on gps

the time and date should set it self when you turnit on, as long as the unit was designed for use in your area then it should set to the right time.

C230 time of arrival is one hour too early

This is a common problem that Mio acknowledges, and from what they told me in my phone call to them, they will address that issue in an update which they are working on "right now", but I fixed my gps, and unlocked a whole bunch of other neat features like an mp3 player by unlocking my Mio C230:

Look here:

This guy's work with the c230 is amazing, and everything works great..... it basically just turned my 100 dollar GPS into a 200 or even 300 dollar GPS. Very cool stuff.

Hope that helps.
