We recently purchased a logitech clip on webcam for our laptop. When video chatting with relatives our webcam freezes up causing long delays and making video chat more like picture chat. We had luck with utilizing their webcam only, or our camera alone but when we use our cameras in tandem our video chat freezes. We are using Live messenger, but are open to other options. We already make sure that all other applications are closed and the cameras have been setup with the windows messenger program. Any advice??

Select the "Camera Assistant Software" program located under the "Program Files" folder accessed by opening your computer "Start" menu.
Step 2View the configuration options available for your built in webcam and microphone. In order to use the webcam you will need to use a video chat service such as Yahoo Instant Messenger, AOL IM, or Google Video Chat.
Step 3Open your Instant Messaging (IM) program by double clicking the program icon on your computer desktop. If you do not have an instant messaging service, you can sign up for a service from Yahoo, AOL, or Google through the URLs included in the resource section of this article. For Yahoo and AOL, you can download and install IM software to use with your laptop webcam on your computer.
Step 4Sign in to your IM service. Then, select the "My Webcam" icon on the application menu to enable video chat in the service. When the webcam is enabled, others will be able to see and here you when conducting a video chat session on your computer.
1) If you do not intend to use the Logitech chat feature I would recommend you uninstall the current logitech software and re-install it - opting out of the Logitech chat feature when the option appears 2) Make sure you have downloaded the DirectX support software.
Check out the support page for your webcam by browsing the gallery and clicking on the picture of your model.
It looks like you have a conflict, Fortunately Logitech have good support for their customers and I would recommend you contact them from this page. They tend to 'teflon shoulder' problems in chat programs but it would be a good start to get your video working in 'Quick Capture'
Well the thing is with Digital Camera If there is lots going on (on the computer) your other program might interfer 1st end all processes that might have anything to do with the camera or that may be using any of its features, I would retart your computer as well If you still have any issue uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the camera.
But I'm thinking you might have too much going on in the computer at the same time
