Your trying to "import" video to your computer right? Then burn it to a DVD? But the immediate issue right now is that you don't have the ability to import the video to begin with? What software did it come with that you used originally to import the video to the computer?
Or do you use any software such as Adobe Elements 3.0 to import and create your DVD?

If you lost your PowerDirector software, you can still get other 3rd party applications to get the job done. The thing is, you gotta buy them or download them for free somewhere.

SDR S7 panasonic camcorder... lost installation disc

The best solution is to get a replacement CD from Panasonic at
http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Cameras-Camcorders/Camcorders/Hard-Disk-Drive/SD-Camcorders/model.SDR-S7A
They may replace the CD at a reasonable cost (or free plus S&H). Otherwise they can suggest other editing software that can upload your recordings to the PC.

Dropped camera - RW Disk thrown out - Some recordings are "gone"

A substantial percentage of my Memorex 3.5 "CDs won't finalize, and when I subsequently try to review the photos on the camera, it tells me there are no files on it. Nothing will download to the computer via the USB either.
There is a software program that always saves me when I get careless and fill the disk to full. It''s called CD Roller. It''s called CD Roller. good luck please mark the post with a fixya
