Question about Audio & Video Receivers

On my portable walkman model Sony MEGA Bass Walkman SRF-M85v I am showing a n icon that looks like a key. I do not have my instructions manual, but I am sure that it is locked. I did not lock it deliberately but it got locked while it was in my gym bag. What does it mean? Thanks,

You are correct the walkman is in lock mode. You can change in and out of lock mode by moving the 'hold' switch up or down on the front of the walkman unit. You should see the key symbol disappear when you make the change.

I have a sony walkman mp3 and I would like to connect it to a bose docking station . Is this possible ?

If it is an iPod bose dock, then no. Other Bose docks may have a line in port (looks like a headphone jack). If it has this, then a male to male stereo cable can hook up your walkman to the dock. -Alex

I would like to pick songs already on my walkman and put together a favourites playlist

I don't have a Walkman, but you should be able to detect it as a separate hard drive, and move the songs to a folder on your desktop, and then reload the Walkman. If that doesn't work, check any proprietory software that might have come with it.
Hope this helps.

On my walkman model Sony MEGA Bass Walkman SRF-M85v all I receive in static on the tv channels. Is it because of the digital switch?

Yes. The Sony was designed to receive analog TV signals. As of June 12th, the signals are all ATSC (Digital) rather than the old NTSC analog. Dan

Have a "hold" problem with my Sony Walkman D-E350

If you are talking about a Walkman MP3 player. Try checking if your headset/ear bud plug is locked in.

I am trying to find upper and lower rubber drive belts for a GPX walkman cassette player. Model #C3034PAK, Serial #5130028423. Can you help?

I couldn't find any information for that Model #. Cassette players are, for the most part, getting phased out with the development of CD's and MP3's. Their most current model isn't even available to purchase any longer. Sony Customer Support may be able to help you get the belts you need.

You can reach Sony Electronics Customer Support by going to or by calling 1-888-476-6972.
