Yesterday, my daughter baby sat a six month old.  The baby had the DVD Video remote in her hand, and began pushing buttons.  Now, we cannot see the movie at all.  I don't know what buttons she pushed or in what sequence, but I have no picture anymore, just a blank screen,  I can hear, but no picture

My daughter sat on her JVC tv/DVD combo LTdd42J remote and now her DVD's only play in black and white, when watching the TV the colour is fine. I have tried looking in the settings but cannot fin

Cable damage is the first thing to check. If the cable is external this is an easy check by trying a new one. Otherwise it is probably internal cable damage or damage to the video output plug.

My daughter sat on the dish network remote and now there is no sound. All other devices hooked to the audio receiver work (DVD and Radio Tuner), but not the satellite. Any thoughts?

I would check to see if the "Mute" button was accidently pressed when your daughter sat on the remote. If not, unplug the receiver from your electrical outlet for 10 seconds and plug back in. This will cause the receiver to reboot and re-acquire the satellite signal. After the picture returns, see if you are getting audio. I hope this helps.

Worked great for three months... then NO AUDIO through SAT

Your Satellite receiver has been updated with firmware that is "uncompatable" with your version of HDMI. And there is no magic bullet to fix it. The easiest fix is to run your HDMI directly to the TV, then run digital coaxial or optical to your receiver. It is known as a "Handshake" issue in the industry and is the main reason as a professional, I don't use HDMI thru any receiver, still too many issues!

Hope this helps. If you need further help, post a comment and I can help you further.

Pressing input selector button changes sound only, not vision.

you're right, it definitely shouldn't be doing that! i know that your cables are probably ok, but it sounds like you might have a little software glitch or something going on. i would highly recommend upgrading your cables to HDMI. not only will you have fewer wires to deal with, you will also be upgrading both your sound and your video quality. in addition, the HDMI connections should be totally seperate from the other connections internally. you might luck out and find that only the analog side of things was afflicted. check out Newegg.com. you can get a 6' cable for $10.

only other option is to send the unit in for service.

Digital Audio moved from TV/SAT to DVD/LD

Using the remote control, push the left arrow until display shows Coax1 (or 2, depending on your setup), then push the up arrow to set it to TV/SAT.
Conversely, depending on your setup, you can push the left arrow to display Comp1 (or2) then push the up arrow to set the correct video setting-- DVD/LD I assume.
