Hi Jeanie: How to place a Motorola HS 850 bluetooth headset into paring mode: Close the boom to turn the unit off. Hold down the call button until the blue light comes on. While holding down the call button, swing the boom open. (Now you can let go of the call button.)
The headset is now in pairing mode, and you can search for it using your phone. When it asks for a PIN, use 0000.
Hope helps. Your feedback is important and I'll appreciate
your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about
The default passcode is "0000"
You can get a step by step guide to pairing this headset (plus manual) on the following link:
close flap (off mode) hold down the "on" function button until the blue light comes on. once it comes on open the flap.. the blue light should stay on. you should already have your phone set for pairing. if your phone ask for a password. its generally 0000..but heres a link to the guide..http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/motosupport/source/generalpairinginstructions.asp?p_headset=742
EASY, go into your settings, connections and then bluetooth, if I am cot mistaken it will ask you for a password, it should be all zeros..once in bluetooth select add new device type in your unit like: motorola H680, thats what I use...thx STeve

They asked me to ship it to them and if I was will to pay for the shipping back and they would send me a "New Unit" back. They returned me a "New" Head set "in box" with-in 2 weeks.
