I have an LG LHT854 home theatre and a LG 42LG50 TV. I purchased a Logitech Harmony 670 Remote. I have it programmed, but when the TV powers on, the Home Theatre also powers on, which it should do. However, the sounfd goes off after about 3 seconds. The sound will only stay on if I wait about 2 seconds after I power on the TV to power on the Home theatre. Any suggestions? Thanks
You probably have too much power running to your power strip that you probably have your xbox, playstation, tv and home theatre system plugged into, try using seperate wall outlets for your tv and home theatre system

None will. Logitech makes the Harmony remote. It will control all your audio components and never goes obsolete because it programs from their website at start up and whenever you add or change a component. It may seem pricey but you'll never have to buy another remote.
You probably need to be a bit clearer as to what you want. But the f (function) key on the unit allows you to change the input To ARC if you have it set up. If you switch off your TV /stereo using the TV remote only this should shut down both. When you turn it on again both should turn on with the sound routed through your stereo ( when you turn on you need to wait a short while while the stereo starts up)
aha59-02291a is the model you are looking for. you might want to research getting a logitech harmony remote. a lot more functionality. make sure the harmony remote supports your receiver if thats the path you want to take.
Ok your dish network wont play through the LHT854? Which Dish network receiver do you have 211, 311, 625, 612, 722? From the owners manuel for the LHT854 it looks like you can only hook up the audio from another source by an optical cable, so how is the LHT854 hooked up to the dish network receiver?
I have a harmony remote myself and came across a similar issue. I contacted Logitech and tehy were able to update the new settings to my account for my Denon receiver. Just contact Logitech they are very helpful.
There is an orange button on the remote, half way down in the middle. I belive it has orange lettering and says something like "TV-?" press that, and the sound should start to come through your speaker system. You can then use the original remote that came with your TV and turn the sound off on the TV to use just the theatre system. I noticed that if you use the TV speakers in conjunction with the theatre system, that it echo's.
