Question about Polaroid T831 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Polaroid t831 makes laptop blue screen!

I follow the instructions for installation to my laptop. As soon as i connect the usb and switch on the camera all seems ok. But hitting set on the cam on PC as the manual states, makes my laptop instantly blue screen. I have a dell latitude d600. The cam works fine on the other laptop which is also a dell. but i need the cam to work on the d600. Anyone know of the problem?

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

Try this option, if it does not work, let me know and I will suggest something else!

Plug the camera in along with the usb into the computer and if nothing pops up, go to start, run and browse for your camera. It should show up there.

SOURCE: I have a Polaroid t831,

did you delete them off the cameras internal memory or a memory card? There are a lot of programs out there for trying to recover deleted images from memory cards. Here are some examples:

Where do i buy a usb cable,for downloading pictures?polaroid t831 digital camera,are they available at wal-mart,radio shack,......where?

Consider NOT using a USB connection.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Even if you have to buy a card reader, it won't be any more expensive than a USB cable.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

My polaroid t831 is completly dead. i lost my battery charger and i only have the computer USB charger left. but it doesn't work at all. I have tried to look online for polaroid chargers but i had no luck...

I found chargers and batteries for this camera by searching Amazon for "polaroid t831". There are also cheap universal chargers that will charge any small camera or phone battery, like THIS ONE

Most cameras don't charge from the USB cable.

How do I charge my camera?

go to ebay.com search Polariod t831 , it should be a cord with a little silver box at the end you slip the battery into the little box,but be careful make sure it is an A/C cord or you might be getting a car charger, the light will be red at first and when it turns green it will be charged. The usb cable is to put the pictures on your computer. Hope this helps you..
