Question about Samsung BlackJack Smartphone

Open Question

Can't get signal, but did, on my blackjack II

Phone cycles thru bad signal to no signal at all. used it all day, no prob, got home last night, won't work. rotates thru 3G to G to E to Emergency. figure it's an antenna problem, bought the refurbished phone instead of new. didn't drop it or dunk it. any guesses? can i get to the antenna and check connection? thanks.

I have the same problem, but mine was a new phone. I can't get on the Internet because it won't stay on the 3G network, only antenna. AT&T customer service told me I may have to talk to Samsung to get an upgrade to the operating system.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: My blackjack wont charge

I did a hard reset because i was having the same problem with a new battery and a new charger. I took my sim card out first to prevent any possible data loss. then followed the following steps:

  1. Once the handset has rebooted to the Today Screen, enter the following code: *2767*3855#. The handset should display a message “Formatting- Please wait a moment”.
  2. The phone will reboot after the Full Reset as this is normal operation.
after i did that i plugged in the charger and it worked perfectly. this is the last step that you would do after updating the software on the BJ

My battery died last night when i got home i plugged it into the charger all night now it wont turn on

The phone might have shut off due to some errors in the software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up then it is confirmed that the software is corrupt and will need a reinstallation. Also please check the voltage on your adapter, check the battery, swap with a working set .Seeking help from the authorized service /support centre is most ideal. Take estimate and decide.

My blackjack ii just stopped working. I turned it

IT sounds like a software glitch.
the phone will most likely need a hard reset to repair it.
Sadly this will delete all of the personal data on your phone, and reset the phone to its factory defaults.
To perform a manual Hard Reset, press the Up Navigation key and the (Power) key.

I dropped my blackjack 2 smart phone and the battery popped out, then a sqaure sticker in the back of the phone turned a red color and now it wont turn on.

well for the sqaure sticker thats a moister indicator, when this is red this means that the phone as been in or around water. SO the phone prob got wet at some point and thats why the phone will not turn on die to corrosion ,

Samsung Blackjack II Screen Stays Black

I have a solution. Call at&t. they will send you a new one. I have had my phone for 5 months and it happened to me also. There's a warranty on the phone itself that covers it from the day "you" started using it. I bought mine from a friend. Cool!! It should be here in 5 days free shipping.
