My Hp 5610 all in one will not print a test page or print from my computer . It has done this before but by disconnecting I could get it started again but this time I can't get it to print . I don't know how to get it going again .

once in awhile my printer would not print from the computer or print a test page .
Being a 5610 all in one Hp ink jet printer . Before I woudl disconnect all connections and get it to work but this time I can't , there is no paper jam and the ink is full as I had just printed a page and it then stopped printing

-   Printer worked perfectly on my laptop up until a week ago. Now only prints blank pages, in Word, Excel, Notepad, Wordpad and also direct from IE7. Won't print test page. Uninstalled, reinstalled, switched on, off, on, off etc. Downloaded drivers from HP. Changed ink cartridges. Prints test page when initialising after reinstallation and/or change of cartridges, but won't print test page from Printer Properties. Installed on another computer and works perfectly. Have reset all settings I can find to Factory Settings and can't find any setting on my laptop that could be culprit.-   Pbwizard99

Pull the cartridges if it is a cartridge type and see if the ink on the bottom of them is wet. If they are dry put them one by one on to a couple of hot water paper towels for just long enough to melt away the dry ink and get it to flowing. If this doesn't work then it will require uninstalling your software and reinstalling it after rebooting several times.

I never printed the test page when it offered to do so because I didn't have paper in the printer. After I solved the method of how to put the paper in the printer it goes thur the action but it ends up with blank paper.

If your printer produces nothing but blank pages (or no pages at all) when you run its self-test, then there's something wrong with the printer rather than your computer. You might need to take it in for professional repairs, but try one of these easy fixes first.
1. If you're setting up the printer or changing the toner or ink cartridge for the first time, double-check the instructions to make sure that you installed the cartridge correctly and, for new printers, that you have removed all the pieces of cardboard or plastic packing material.
2. Check to see whether paper is feeding from the paper tray. If it's not leaving the tray at all, try feeding a page manually (if that's an option) or using a different paper tray. Sometimes a problem with the tray can be traced to a broken spring or a piece of plastic.
3. If paper is feeding from the tray but jamming in the printer, examine where the jam is occurring and then inspect the printer carefully to see if you can find what is causing the problem. A piece of paper, for instance, might be blocking the paper path.
4. If paper is feeding through the printer but coming out blank, check to see whether the printer is out of toner or ink. A defective toner or ink cartridge could be the problem.

THERE ARE TWO SLOTS FOR PAPER IN TOP OF MY PRINTER. PAPER WONT FEED AT ALL FROM THE BACK SLOT. MAYBE YOU COULD PUT YOUR PAPER INTO A DIFFERENT SLOT AND TRY PRINTING THAT WAY. GH
