RUNNING THE MACHINE WITH THE WRONG FUEL MIXTURE COULD BE THE FIRST CULPRIT. IF YOU WERE RUNNING TO HOT YOU COULD BE DEFORMING THE CYLINDER WALLS AND CREATE A PROBLEM THAT IS NOT FUN. TAKE THE PLUG OUT AND TRY TO SQUIRT A LITTLE WD-40 IN CYLINDER CHAMBER. WITH PLUG STILL OFF PULL CORD A FEW TIMES. SEE IF THAT HELPS. IF NO HELP MOST LIKELY BY A NEW ONE. GOOD LUCK PAL.
Here are a couple quick checks to make on a blower that wont start.
1) Fuel? Check the fuel and see if it's low, watery or just not there. The best thing to do if this is the first run of the season is to drain it and start fresh! Also do this with you seasonal gas can as it can carry water and contaminants too.
2) If you have fuel and carb has been primed make sure fuel is getting to the spark plug. You will need to remove the plug after a few starting attempts and check and see if it is wet. If not, you probably have an obstruction in the carb. Which means disassembly and clearing of debris, wax, or sediment from the fuel. If you dont know how to do this you should get help from a local shop. Carb service is usually 45-60 dollars minimum so the blower should be worth the repair! If it cost less than 100 dollars consider total replacement instead. Also consider getting an electric blower since they dont have these issues from year to year.
3) If the plug IS wet after trying to start it try getting a new plug and make sure the air filter isnt fuel saturated. Remove the air filter cover and filter just to make sure it isnt flooding the blower while you are trying to start it. When this happens the carb can spit loads of fuel out and foul the spark plug. Once fouled a spark plug is virtually impossible to fix. So keep a new plug around for just such an occasion.
4) If you have a clean, fresh plug you can check for spark by taking the old plug out, replacing it with the new plug, and while holding it against something metal on the motor have someone pull the handle a couple times. Be careful since the spark is high voltage and you dont want to get shocked! Keeping the plug grounded and wear heavy gloves should help prevent this.
If you dont see spark you have either a coil issue or a switch issue. The switch is just a ground wire to the coil so disconnecting it and rechecking for spark can rule out a bad switch. If the motor still has no spark after removing switch you probably have a bad coil These are sometimes deep inside the unit and having them replaced is almost always too cost prohibitive. *(follow the 100 dollar rule on this again.)

Check age of gas. Cannot be more than
30 days old. Make sure to use fresh gas w/synthetic 2-cycle oil @ 40:1 ratio
(1 gal.) Gas to 3.2 oz. Oil). Do not use old or stale oil/gas mixture. Always
use the proper oil/gas mix. If you do not, your engine will suffer rapid,
permanent damage. May need to clean or replace carburetor.
Sounds like you will need to clean your carburetor, or rebuild it.
Could be some debris in the jets of the carburetor.
If the blower is over a couple years old, then I also
recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor
repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank and not run at full speed.
When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, count the number of turns it takes to seat the jets from their original position. That way when you go to put the jets back in, you know how many turns they were in/out.

Basics to check:
1) Spark plug - brown or dark brown - OK a) is it carbon or fuel fouled b) is there spark
2) Muffler remove for inspection a) exhaust screen clean or plugged b) inspect cylinder wall/piston as the flywheel is slowly rotated
3) Check cylinder compression
Fuel starvation - 'lean fuel' condition
Basic things to check: 1) spark plug 2) spark arrestor in muffler 3) fuel lines and tank filter 4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn Chain Saws: 5) check impulse tube and intake boot for cracks or leaks
*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then: Remove Carburetor 6) replace gaskets/diaphragms a) use a spray carb cleaner to clean jets, holes, and body of carb b) fuel pump diaphragm goes against the carb body, then the gasket towards the outside c) metering gasket goes against the carb body, and the diaphragm goes towards the outside
