Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC
I'm doing free work on a puter for a family in need. They say the unit was still working but started to smell hot so they shut it off. Two ears on the CPU heatsink/cooling fan bracket broke and let the assembly drop off the CPU and in the moving of the unit the assembly knocked three wire sets off mobo. I replaced the plastic bracket but now unit won't power up and I don't want to start randomly sticking plugs on sockets. The wire sets that are displaced all go to the front panel and are:
1. The wires that go to the cardreader/firewire ports.
2. The wires that go to the mic/earphone ports.
3. The three plugs that go to front panel; H.D.D. LED (RED/WHITE wires), Power LED (GREEN/WHITE wires) and Power Switch (BLACK/WHITE wires).
Does anyone have a layout of mobo or can help me with wire placement on mobo?
Thanks in advance,
Here is the website for that particular mother board. This should give you what you need.
