If the wear is on just one side, especially the front tire, you more than likely need to have an alignment done. Most shops will do an alignment check for free.

Does not engage when put in 4 wd but when put in 4 L transfer case goes in 4 low but no front tire drive??

Hello,

It sounds to me like you either have a problem with the splines between the left axle shaft and left side gear in the differential, or you have side gear or spider gear failure.

The next step is going to be to inspect the spider and side gears in the front differential.

Based on all the information you've given, it almost sounds as if the problem is in the differential.

Although, you should also make sure your truck is either in Park or Neutral BEFORE you engage the 4WD if you haven't tried that yet. I'm sure you probably already knew to do this though...

Best of luck with your truck! Hopefully this helps guide you in the right direction to getting it repaired!

Best Regards,

James

Horn stopped working, replaced relay fuse and still no sound. Where is the horn located on a '96 monte carlo?

You will find it on the passenger side and underneath the car near the front tire well. If you lay down and look up from under the bumper you should be able to see it. Let me know how you do.

My 2002 dodge ram 1500 keeps misfiring. Only on the 8th cylinder. What would keep causing this? also, the RPMS fluctuate when im driving and when im stopped, this is only sometimes. also brakes make a...

on the miss fire have you checked your spark plug to see what kind of shape its in? on the rpms. can be a couple of things most commun is the tps which can cause eratic idles over drive kicking in and out transmission shifting to soon etc. on the brakes. while you had it jacked up did you try to move the tires to see if there is any free play? and check behind the dust shelds. the brakes now days are made of cheap materials and since they stoped using asbestos they use alot of metal shavings etc for fillers which cause brakes to squeak and squeal when stopping. you can try changing them out for a medium grade wagner or buy some brake quiet hope this helps.

2008 GMC Sierra Extended Cab. How do I reset tire sensors?

If the tires are the same and the pressures are good it should reset itself.. If it does not you may have a bad sensor. Being an 08 I would have the dealer do it since it could be PCM related

Speaker rattles.

Are these after market speakers or original cloth trim covers. if they are aftermarket metal covers in a plastic rim a small amount of glue or double sided tape should keep them from moving, if they are cloth trim covers check the tabs at the back of the cover to see if they have broken due to wear. if the tab is still intact you will need to pop the door trim off and push the cover back into place then bend the smaal tabs back to meet flush with your door triim again.

I have a john deere tractor. I let the hood drop shut and it cracked. can I repair this?

Yes. Go to a parts store and pick up a fiber glass repair kit. It shoud come with fiber mat "cat hair", resin, and hardener. Get a face mask, plastic applicator and latex gloves and wear old clothes, IT IS MESSY. Sand the crack + 6" in all directions. Do this to the back side of the hood so the repair won't show. For best result, remove the hood to work on it. Follow instructions on kit. not that hard to do

My subwoofer is not performing like it should, but maybe it needs some cleaning. How do I clean it?

Clean It ?
I don't think that has anything to do with performance
unless you have been mudding, and it's covered in dirt.
Please be more specific, Amp, Speaker (s) and all specs.

You have to understand that the only moving parts in your system are the speakers.
Cep't the CD spinner thingy
Like tires, the more you use them and abuse them, they just plain wear out,

Hey

well you have alot of options and alot of room to work with but if i were too go with a system i suggest the pioneer 100x4 system with mosfet
they have prefab speaker boxes for your pickup or custom built for better looking
i would suggest going to audio express and have them do a run threw of special design for your vehicle

or go online and search internet images for custom sterio speaker install boxes they have alot of options but the quailty and sound i believe is what you want to look for without being to obvious
