Question about Washing Machines
During the rinse cycles and sometimes during the fill for general wash the water barely trickels into the wash tub. You can hear the water entering the machine however their are no leaks rin the system. i have checked the supply lines and filters and hoses and am at a loss for what to do next. This problem is an intermitant problem so it is hard to pinn down when it will work properly or not.
Sounds like you have a Water Inlet Valve (also known as a fill valve) going bad. This is where the fill hoses connect. If you've already verified the hoses to be good and not kinked or clogged, more than likely, the water inlet valve needs replaced. If you live in an area that has hard water, or if you use well water, the fill valve can become clogged with sediment over time. You can attempt to clean it by shutting off the water supply and removing the hoses. Look at the sediment screens and use some distilled white vinegar with some cotton swabs to dissolve and break up and deposits in the screens. If you require a replacement valve, please post back with a complete make and model number so I can assist you with locating parts. I hope this helps you. This is a simple repair.
