This is a photo flash forum for Nikon cameras. Not a computer problem forum. You have to access your photos where the computer stored them. Usually windows stores all photos under My Documents, and subbed under 'My Pictures"

Q1: Camera: How do I remove the 'Video" setting? Q2: Camera: How do I transfer photo from camera to computer? I know; not the brightest bulb. Thanks

You manipulate and configure all camera settings from the menu.
1. For the video settings, scroll through the menu and you'll find what you you are looking for there.
2. To transfer photo to your computer, various options are available.
If your camera came with a CD (driver), install that on your computer, than connect camera to computer, using the usb chord that came with the camera. Switch on camera and you should access the SD card from the My Computer menu.
Another way is to take out the SD card and plug it to the computer by an card reader or from most Note Book computers, a SD card slot built into the sides somewhere. to access the SD Card, you open My Computer and double click on the SD card icon, open the varoius folders in there to find you photos.

The camera is creating a Nikon001.DSC file which does not include any data or images. but i have lots of photo clicked. how to access to my photos

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

My camera id D5000. Once i connect it to nikon transfer, there will be a green light that keeps flashing on my camera. My nikon transfer does not sense my camera and i can't transfer my photos.

Try re-installing the Nikon transfer software on your computer. Have you also just tried using the computer's image software to transfer images (or just copy and paste from the camera to the desktop)?

MY nikon transfer will not display the S230 as the source camera. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software to no avail, so I cannot transfer any pics.

Consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software". Or you can use NIkon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

Hi can you send me a fee download for transfer my photos from motorola v3 tu ma pc

There are two ways to transfer your photos from phone to pc, either by blutooth or via usb data cable.

These two means of transferring files will need special software installed in your computer in order to make a connection between mobile phone and computer. The list below are softwares that you may install in your computer to get access with the files on your mobile phone.

1. MPT4.5.6_eng.exe

2. Handset_USB_Driver_32_v2.6.2.0.zip

3. Mobile_PhoneTools_4.3.6c.rar

Lumix DMC-FZ20 Digital Camera: download software for computer photo transfer...

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

How to transfer pictures from my Canon PowerShot SD1000 digital camera to my computer

There are two ways of doing this:
  1. Install the software on the CD that came with the camera, then use the USB cable that came with the camera to connect it to the computer. The software should walk you through the rest of the process.
  2. Buy an SD card reader (example Card Reader from Amazon.com), connect it to your computer, and take out the SD memory card from the camera, and insert it into the appropriate card slot on the card reader. Then use whatever photo management software to manage your photos.
I would recommend the second method since it reduces the wear and tear on your camera and allows you to access the photos easier through Windows Explorer or Finder (MacOS).
Hope that helps!

DOWNLOADING PICTURES

Photo transfer problems are as likely to be related to software as to hardware. If you use photo-editing software other than what came with your camera, check the software's documentation and Web site to see if the manufacturer supports your camera. Download and install any software updates, as well.

If your photo-editing software can't detect your camera, make sure your camera is attached, turned on, and, if necessary, switched to transfer mode. Double-click the My Computer icon and look for an icon that corresponds to your camera. If you see an icon for your camera, you know that Windows detects your camera and that the problem is related to your photo-editing software.
