Mitsubishi wd 52725 blinking green light

I have the Mitsubishi WD-52725 with the same infamous blinking green light. I am wondering if there is a way to correct the problem without sending the chassis back to Mitsubishi. I also live in the Phoenix area. I was told by the repair person that it would not be worth fixing the TV because of the cost of sending it back to Mitsubishi ($825.) vs. the price of a new one. Based on the price I paid for the TV, it is hard for me to consider trashing it. If there is a fix to this TV that is reasonable I would be very interested in repairing it. Please e-mail me at lindaeppers@yahoo.com

Thank you!

Our Mitsubishi wd 52725 powered up and down fine until a recent power outage. Now all we get is a blinking green light. We have tried everything to get it to reset but no luck! We have left messages at 2 different service centers but no calls yet. Any ideas how we can fix this?

Same probelm.  One day our Mitsubishi 52725 worked fine, the next day we have the fast blinking green light, but it doesn't power on.  Would love to know what triggered the problem.

Every time I replace a bulb and go to turn the TV on, the green light continues to flash. Last time I left the TV unplugged for a day and it started up okay. Will no in the morning if this resolves the problem again, but would like to know how to avoid this problem or find a quicker fix. All the reset options in book and additional hold in Menu and Power keys doesn't work. Any ideas?

I have the same problem. Woke up in the morning and the TV's flashing green timer light won't stop. Tried the reset button, unplugging the TV, the light won't stop flashing and in turn can't get the TV to turn on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same problem - we were trying to insert an SD card to watch a video recording, and the tv shut off. The green power light is blinking now and the tv won't turn on. We have tried the reset button and unplugging the set and nothing gets rid of the green blinking light. We put in a new lamp and that didn't help either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Yes! There is a fix!!

This is an extremely common problem with Mitsubishi tvs old and new. It can be fixed easily and cheaply for those willing to use their hands.

Refer to this guide to replace the capacitors on your DM Power Circuit Board part # 935C9860. You could also have someone else do it for you for $100

Guide for DIY repair: http://hdtvoice.com/voice/showthread.php?t=32186

Paid Rebuild Service: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=PWB-PM-ASSY+REBUILD+SERVICE

That fixes the problem most of the time.

After replacing capacitors is you still get green light try replacing the EEprom. EEprom board also known as the E2P board is part number 935C978001

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I POWERED IT BACK ON BY UNPLUGGING AND THEN HITTING THE RESET BUTTON. AFTER ONE MINUTE OR SO THE LIGHT WENT OFF AND I WAS ABLE TO POWER ON.

I STARTED THINKING WHAT COULD HAVE TRIGGERED THIS AND IT STARTED AFTER WE HAD A SHORT POWER OUTAGE.

I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS WILL WORK FOR YOU BUT I AM ON MY SECOND DAY OF NO BLINKING LIGHT: I WENT TO THE MITSU TV MENU AND RESET MY CLOCK... I PUT IT ON MANUAL SETTING AND RESET TO PROPER TIME AND I HAVEN'T HAD A PROBLEM. IT'S WORTH A TRY. I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED..

Blinking green status light

Unplug for a few minutes then plug back in to try to reset it. Sometimes it could take as long as overnight before pluging back in to reset. Number of blinks is usually a trouble code.

Mitsubishi Model WD-52725 timer green light blinking fast

My Mitsubishi WD52725 will not turn on...the timer light is blinking. We pushed the reset button, unplugged tv. Just got off the phone with Mitsubishi customer "service." After answering numerous personal questions, and being on hold for several minutes, I was told that the only solution was to push the reset button. Duh! We'd done that several times with no change, which is why I called them! BIG WASTE OF TIME!!!!
