Re: how do i fix my bendix washer
Hi fro uk the softener compartment works on a syphon system if you remove compartment it has a vertical tube with a cap on top ? pull off top and ensure the tube is clear ? then refit cap firmly and refit compartment into drawer now the syphon briefly works like a toilet flush syphon ? when conditioner is added to correct level and cycle comes to conditioner mode ? water enters machineand the conditioner compartment ok so far?? then as compartment water level/conditioner rises up to top of tube ? under cap then it flows down tube and syphon's conditioner from compartment ? but the cap on tube must be fitted ? if missing for some reason? syphon will not work hope this is understandable tou you ? on how it operates wish you a merry xmas from uk
Hi! you need to un clip orpull the draw out (easy enough!) then give it a good clean, there will be a little tube in the draw that will be gunged up! a pipe cleaner or ear bud wil clean it through, with lots of hot water!

It really shouldn't matter which you use, not unless the garments are , for instance, wool and really need doing by hand.
Are you using fabric conditioner/softener at all? If not I would start using it. The only time my wife does not use softener is with towels; they dry you better without it!
Also if your water supply is 'hard' i.e. has lots of calcium in it, definitely ALWAYS use a suitable anticalc powder/tablet in EVERY wash. Regularly clean the machine with the contents of a sachet of proprietary anticalc powder which goes in on its own- without any garments.

This is common, if the machine does predominantly COLD washes.
Over a period of time, there is a build up of soap scum (washing powder/fabric softener etc) inside the machine, caused by using excess soap powder/detergent.
To recitfy this, fill the empty bowl (no clothes) with a solution of HOT water & CITRIC ACID (found in the baking isle of your grocery shop) on HI Water level. Set the machine to wash cycle, then drain.
Fill again with same solution, but leave solution inside the bowl overnight.
Drain next day, then follow with 1 single HOT wash (no clothes) on HI water level again.
The scum should be gone...
The hot flush should be done at least every 6 months, but this can be dramatically reduced if you use less soap powder (Samsung machines do not require as much powder, as do other machines)

thankyou for the offer of help.i did not even know how to get in the machine, and started getting annoyed with it,so,unfortunatly,i am waiting for an engineer to come up,i think it only needs a washer, but, its gonna cost me about £80.a bit expensive, but, desperation calls.plus costing me a days wage,i would be cheaper buying a new one.but thats life, thankyou anyway for taken the time to get back to me.
i had the problem of my brand new washing machine not taking the conditioner and the customer service advisor rightly guessed that i was using concentrated liquid and advised me to dilute it with warm water then put it in the drawer because sometimes the liquid is too thick for the machine to take.try this!!!!! regarding the powder why not put it directly in the machine or buy tablets and do the same with those
