Knocking nosie when water enters humidfier

When the furnace turns on and the water enters the humidifier it often clicks and knocks until the furnace turns on. I am not sure what the cause of this may be. If anyone knows or has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

If your sure that is exactly where the sound is coming from yes. you can put a screwdriver up to it and put the handle to your ear then turn it on. this will act like a stethescope of sorts. all the soleniod valves for there humidifiers are universal.

Chances are it is just condensation not leakage if it's only wet when its running. Nothing you can do except put a towel under it.

Hunter carefree humidifiers use a reusable and washable wick this method of humidifying does not produce a fine mist like many centrifugal (cool misting)humidifiers. The fact that it is producing cold air seems to indicate it is working. However it would not hurt to check the water intake for blockages it also a good idea to run these models on high for several mins when starting this ensures that water is being pumped up.

Water coming into humidifier has recently begun to leak out from connection to the discharge tube.

THE WATER CONNECTION TO THE INPUT OF THE HUMIDIFIER IS LEAKING? - -IF THIS IS THE CASE, SHUT OF THE WATER SUPPLY TO THE HUMIDFIER, UN-SCREW THE INPUT CONNECTION, USING SOME PLUMBING WHITE CONNECTION TAPE, WRAP A COUPLE OF TURNS UNTO THE THREADS, RE-CONNECT AND TURN ON THE WATER SUPPLY. IT SHOULD STOP LEAKING.
IF ITS THE OUTPUT OF THE HUMIDIFIER OR DISCHARGE TUBE, THIS IS NOT UNDER ANY WATER PRESSURE LIKE THE INPUT IS, AND IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE HOSE MAY BEJUST LOOSE OR CRACKED AT THE HUMIDIFIER. CUT OFF THE HOSE AND RE-ATTACHING WILL WORK OR MAY EVEN NEED A NEW HOSE.

Dry house with furnace mounted humdifier

Is the furnace fan set on auto or on. You will get better humidity if you keep the fan on. It won't add much to your electric bill because many of the newer furnaces operate the fan on DC voltage. Try it!

Water runs out back humidifier into plenum & onto floor

Hi John Your whole question did not show up (maybe you can re-post) . I can answer what part i understand though. If the humidifier was wired in right it will not send power to the humidifier until the furnace is on, and calling for heat. This stops the unit from working in the cooling mode in summer.Make sure your furnace filter is clean as well

Hope that helps

No water going to furnace humidifier

The furnace should be equipped with a #50 relay to turn the Humidifier on and off when only when the furnace blower is on. You should have a test mode on your humidistat. Do you have water coming up to the solenoid valve? Make sure that the saddle valve is turned on to supply the water to the humidifier. Is your humidistat set high enough to turn the humidifier on? Is it plugged in?

No water flow to the humidifier

Turn that pin to the left and that will open the valve to allow water to flow through it. If it starts to leak the all you need to do is tighten the nut that were the water is coming out with a wrench, be carefull it wont take much to tighten.
